I appreciate that it doesn't immediately make sense but look at this gif. If this galaxy was around 13 billion light years away 13 billion light years ago then the light emitted from it would be observable 13 billion years later. The distance, however, increased during those 13 billion years, which is derivable from the strength of the signal. These two things allow us to detect things that are more light years away from us than the age of the universe. This also defines the limits of the observable universe.

You are right and this Gif explains it pretty good.

Didn't think about that.. thanks

i'd really rather not because there are schools for these types of things.
buut, just cause you asked fairly. and I'm not really a douchebag.

The graphic said that the galaxy is 30 billion light years away.
It would take light 30 billion years to reach us from that galaxy
The universe is only 14 billion years old according to other credible data.
The light from this galaxy would have to had traveled over twice the speed of light.

The argument that we aren't in the center of the universe is invalid because even if we were at the edge of the universe (this makes no sense), it would still take light 28 billion years to reach us. 2 billion years isn't negligible.
Also the argument that space is expanding between galaxies, although a fact, does not prove your point because if there is more space between us, the light would have to travel even faster, which doesn't hold water.

I apologize I came off like an ass hole. It's just your facts are way off
