Well, everyone tends to grab onto the thing everyone talks about. The bullies did that, I and the people against them have done that; everyone did that because it's 'relevant' if you know what I mean.

That is true, but that bullying is still completely unnecessary. Any bullying is pathetic.
#333 - anthonygeiger (10/14/2012) [-]
I agree with you on that. The one thing that pisses
me off the most is that people put her all over the news
and completely forget about the actual innocent kids that are
bullied to the point of suicide.

But if so many do the same things this girl has, why are we targeting this one girl and not them? And I'm not personally mourning this girl, just defending her from people that say she deserved to die for making a mistake she tried to fix.
#320 - anthonygeiger (10/14/2012) [-]
It's not like people are after just her. It's just that the media played it out to be like she was the most innocent little thing out there when she brought that bullying on herself.
And people do go after the others that do this, as well. It's just not
all over the news.

You have to remember that the internet and her schools literally turned against her and abused her consistently. It wasn't like "Oh, I have done a silly thing and people have said it's dumb; suicide time", she was met with abuse every day of her life. Isn't that just a little bit much?
User avatar #286 - ericd (10/14/2012) [-]
Keep in mind that it wasn't consistent. She got hit by the girl because she fucked her boyfriend so why wouldn't she be angry. Plus she knew she was showing her body several times on a live streaming site so 1000s of people could've been watching her and she knew so. Plus the name calling only happened a few times but what do you expect when you show your body to the whole world and fuck someones boyfriend?
User avatar #295 - ultrarobbie (10/14/2012) [-]
I completely agree that the girlfriend is rightfully mad, and that the things she did were stupid. She did have sex with a boyfriend in a relationship, even though he invited her, but she could have easily declined it and not been a fool. And yes, she did show off her body, which again was stupid.
The name calling thing though: She had to move several times because people were abusing her online which spread into real life. It was unnecessary anyway: It was unrelated to them, she tried to get away from her mistakes and realised she was an idiot but people wouldn't let it go.
User avatar #321 - chezburgadominator (10/14/2012) [-]
You said it herself, why was she running from her problems and not facing them.
User avatar #329 - ultrarobbie (10/14/2012) [-]
She started by doing that, then did face it with her video, to my knowledge, but it sounds like no one listened and carried on.
#275 - Visual (10/14/2012) [-]
Aren't there other people with the same kind of situation?
User avatar #279 - ultrarobbie (10/14/2012) [-]
Masses of people everywhere abusing them consistently despite them trying to get away from it by moving multiple times? Quite possibly, but I doubt as many people would be on them at once.
#298 - anthonygeiger (10/14/2012) [-]
Dude, it's internet and people that are complete hypocrites with this. Never believe 80% of the things you here on the internet. And, I'm sure most of us know that
this generation has done the exact same things she has. Why should we mourn this
one girl when thousands of people with worse problems than her that commit suicide?
