Warhammer dice make for great drinking games.

We used to have mock warhammer battles without using figures. Just the dice.

If you lost the current battle at hand, you took a drink.
Lose the current battle with 2x casualties = 2 drinks.
Fluff a Ballista or Rock lobber throw = 2 drinks.
Champion dies = 3 drinks
Battalion gets wiped out from a battle = +1 drink from the battle.

I play Fantasy, not 40k. This was really really bad for goblins, and skaven.

Anyone with high rank numbers but low power per unit. We had to make a rule for those armies that each unit was worth .5 instead of 1 towards drinks.
Play Goblins or Skaven = Absolutely trashed in half the time.

But couldn't you say that a lot of those factors that make someone emotionally capable of murder are also those that make you successful? A lack of empathy is almost necessary for some of the highest earning professions, such as a doctor or lawyer.

So if their brain lacks the emotional restrictions that we consider human, but it results in their benefit, are they the fucked up ones or are we?
#13 - amuzen (06/02/2015) [-]
They're the fucked up ones because it's a lot more likely to result in them self destructing entirely due to the fact that people are social animals and have come to rely on others to survive, while in the short term being able to think in such a way that allows you to benefit yourself at the cost of the whole of society can potentially lead to financial success which can lead to an increased chance to reproduce, ultimately society as a group will eventually single out and work together to take down people like that so it's unlikely to survive for multiple generations and it gives them an increased chance to develop a bad reputation or end up arrested.

Basically while a lack of empathy is useful in some scenarios and can lead to increased financial success, it can also lead to their utter devastation much easier.

I like to think of it this way, if someone was born with the ability to 'ignore' the limitations our brains subconsciously put on our muscles at will, they'd be able to do a lot of neat stuff like run super fast or lift cars or the like, but it would come at the cost of them being a lot more likely to tear their muscles beyond use and possibly cripple themselves so it wouldn't really be a 'beneficial' deviation from the norm

Everyone always forgets the opening scenes, they go like this
*Random situation*
People are happy
Oh no something goes wrong
Person falls over
Is person hurt?
No lol jk some other guy is the real patient of the episode
#78 - wrpen (06/03/2015) [-]
I want to see this as an actual episode, line for line.

"Give him meth".
"What? No, that's illeg-"
"Do it."
"...Okay".
I'm also like 90% sure that the usages of methamphetamine for medical use is entirely legal. I'm not completely sure, but many kinds of narcotics and street drugs are used regularly, albeit at either lower or much higher dosages, so why not meth?
#84 - jumperzero (06/03/2015) [-]
meth was forcibly given to kids that didn't conform to the school system and were told they had adhd a drug used mostly for treatment of add/adhd. I'm not sure if its still used as much but it was basically given to everyone 10 years ago. just like bipolar disorder now now they've realized that a lot of it was a misdiagnosis of bipolar, so they give them a much more horrible effective drug now.
User avatar #85 - wrpen (06/03/2015) [-]
I actually have a cousin that was supposedly diagnosed with ADHD and now gets excessively violent when he's off his meds.

It's kind of sad absolutely necessary to the wellbeing of our society and country.
#88 - jumperzero (06/03/2015) [-]
"wow this one *insert group here* did *insert stereotype here* lets kill them all"

no. you were not apart of it, you never saw the other side of the psychiatric community.

I have barely any memory of a large 3-5 years of my younger life because I was on (pharmaceutical versions of) speed and meth. Around 10-12 years ago there were a MASSIVE number of intentional misdiagnoses to essentially allow them to drug kids that acted out in school a bit, especially those in kindergarten to 5th grade. And now they are doing the same thing, labeling every kid they can with bipolar/depression, giving them zombie sitdownandshutup drugs so they can avoid spending actual time and effort dealing with actual problems.

Murderers get romanticized as well, just look at American Psycho and Dexter. Heck, everyone loves the Joker even though hes a mass murderer.

User avatar #10 - demandsgayversion (06/02/2015) [-]
But what is a good murderer? One who kills fast? Kills many? Leaves the least evidence? Kills creatively?
#11 - amuzen (06/02/2015) [-]
well I mean there's lot of skills that could 'help' you be a good murderer, but the only thing that you really need to be able to do to murder someone is to have the kind of brain that doesn't freeze up when you consider killing someone. You've just got to lack that little gnat in the back of your mind that tells you not to do crazy shit because it's not worth it and go for it.
If you can just kill someone with absolutely no remorse, anxiety, or hesitation and you're not like retarded, then figuring out how to destroy the evidence and disassociating yourself from the whole thing should be relatively easy.
See most murderers get caught because it's a crime of passion, they freak out, get excited, or just generally let their emotions get the better of them and it gets them caught but seriously you were to buy a cheap 5 dollar knife and were to just walk up to a homeless guy in an alley, put your gloved hand over his mouth and stabbed him in the chest a few times, what are they going to do to catch you? hell even if someone sees you doing it unless they're right fucking there to see your face, they're brave enough to come forward about it, and the cops get some reason to suspect you you've got nothing to worry about.

basically I guess what I'm saying is it doesn't matter what makes a good murderer because ultimately the most important factor that sets the precedent for all other factors is simply 'how fucked up in the head are you?'
The more fucked in the head you are the better.
User avatar #12 - demandsgayversion (06/02/2015) [-]
