My current commander deck is built around krenko, you do not know joy until you hit thime with a goblin that has 500+ attack. Tap krenko, get a goblin creature token for every goblin on your field, including the creature tokens.

Also another great card for what you've listed is Vorel of the Hull Clade. I ran him in my green blue because hydras but then he went out of standard

That would make a pretty cool Samurai-Jack type situation, where the PC's rather early on get the opportunity to fight the main baddie, and despite warnings that he's way out of their league, they're over confident and go for it, and end up in a situation where this arrow is the only possible escape from certain death. They take it, end up in the Astral plane, and end up barely surviving and fighting for their lives for the rest of the campaign through the Astral plane till they find a way back, through the process becoming extremely swole. Then they finally get back, and face the main baddie, and rek him with all that extreme training they had.

Yeah that could be cool, there's a lot of cool shit in the astral plane such as the gith with their red dragon cohorts and their floating space citadels or the various rifts to different worlds/planes.

Alrighty, in that case, I have a question for you that is allowed by my current Pathfinder DM, but still needs a second opinion in order for me to think about bringing him elsewhere: Mundo. He is an Alchemist stuck in beast mode(But has his sanity for gameplay reasons, think Jekyll in Hyde's body), and thus gets the increases to strength and CON, while suffering heavily in CHA, to the point where it even affects his speech, making him speak in the third person. However, this is the part that I bring up, his INT is 22, due to being a mad scientist that was fucking with the laws of nature even before his current state, and my DM has allowed Mundo a specific perk so he can do the one thing no one else in the party can do: seduce. It's called "Takes what he pleases and pleases what he takes", and allows him to use his INT in place of CHA when attempting to seduce, charm, or otherwise convince someone of the female gender or shape, so that includes doppelgangers unaware of what love is. Because, you know, sometimes chicks dig a smart guy. It also allows for Mundo and said female to bang without any penalties based on race or size, so succubi can't life drain, ghouls can't XP suck, etc. And yes, this eventually led to Mundo gaining a harem of devils, demons, and undead. Question is, would this perk hold water in any game outside of this one, where literally nobody else was capable of seduction and our GM had made a female character in need of seducing?
#18 - amuzen (11/21/2014) [-]
Well normally as far as seduction would go in one of my campaigns would be based on a diplomacy check to raise an npcs perception above 'friendly' + giving them suitable reason to want to bang. If a PC were to request such an ability in game I would probably give them a special homebrew feats in order to work it out. One would be

Grifter
Prerequisites: int 14, 2 ranks in diplomacy, bluff, sense motive
Benefit: by spending one minute before hand observing a potential 'mark' a Grifter can figure out things about them such as their wants, interests, and general taste. A Grifter adds their intelligence bonus to all diplomacy, bluff, and sense motive checks made against a potential mark for up to 1 month against anyone they've designated as a mark.

As for the disease thing I wouldn't give any such immunity however I would say as an alchemist I would allow you to make a heal check versus the save DC in order to identify any diseases you might have contracted and then allow you to use craft Alchemy, again with a dc equal to the diseases intial saving throw to create a cure for anything mundane ailments. (Unless there's already something in heal for curing diseases I'm not really sure, to be honest I've never really liked how diseases and poisons worked in D&D and I started using an alternate system ages ago)

as for making the whole Jeckly in hydes body thing I would probably allow it but give him a level adjustment of 1 (if it happened after the game began I would just make it so the next dungeon had an extra 1 item relevant to all the pcs except for him_)

If you want something that would make it so you could do those things without using any homebrew I'm probably not the person to ask though since my specialty is more bending the mechanics to create balanced effects from a DMing perspective more than it is having memorized all the various character optimizations.

Do you by any chance post dnd videos or do a podcast around dnd?
#10 - amuzen (11/21/2014) [-]
No, to be honest I haven't played in a few years because I've never really been able to find a group but I've read like 20 of the 3.5 books, the core 4.0 books, and the path finder players handbook cover to cover plus I've got like 200 pages worth of DND notes saved on my computer alongside about 40 or so D&D books for when I finally do get to DM a campaign.
It's kind of been a hobby of mine this last three-four years to think up mini adventures, new magic items, new spells, alternate/new mechanics, new classes, little settings (a couple of big settings) npc ideas, a couple of new base classes, new feats etc, to be honest if I were to compile them together I could probably make another players handbook.

Everyone else just kind of learns to stay out of his way while playing although, basically everyone outside of our core group will trip over his ego at some point, most just stop attending after one of his out bursts.

although in generals he calmed down a lot about 4 years after that since he discovered pot, now when he starts to get all red in the face we usually just smoke a dubi and he calms down and apologizes for his behavior.

Basically he was just incredibly arrogant during his young adult phase and looked down with disdain on those he deemed intellectually inferior to him and with unbridled fury at those who would prove him wrong.

He mostly just did that shit to me during that first year when I was first getting to know him and I've seen him do that to other new comers over the years to but he kind of learns to respect people over time I guess.

So basically amuzen, your DM is one of those people that needs to be right all the time?
Damn dude that has to be frustrating.
Not to mention his pride costs your party a Paladin which fills in fighting and healing roles.
#26 - amuzen (11/21/2014) [-]
Yeah he had some pretty bad rage problems back then, although he's gotten a lot better now he was only 17 at the time and I was 13 invited over by his 15 year old brother so I imagine he probably found me pretty annoying, I know that as a rule of thumb I find it pretty annoying having 13 year olds correct you.

He was also kind of angry at me because the campaign before I lost a fighter character because I drew my sword and he had it provoke an attack of opportunity and I thought that was stupid because, why the fuck would a fighter not be able to properly defend himself during the act of his drawing his weapon? We had gotten into an argument over that and he wouldn't let me look it up in the players handbook saying that I was just a noob and he was experienced and how I just had to take his word for it (I was new to the game at the time and didn't have the kind of money needed to buy my own supplies) so I went over his head and borrowed another friends players handbook and looked it up and showed it to the group and he just got fucking pissed and went on this huge rant at me that it didn't matter what it said in the books and that if he said it provokes an attack of opportunity it does and how I shouldn't be such a rules nazi and how I needed to learn to just drop it etc etc. everyone always kind of shakily agreed with him because it was his house, his supplies, and they all knew him better than they knew me and he was the oldest of the kids there.

Ever since, 7 years later it's been a house rule there that drawing a weapon provokes an attack of opportunity

#3 - sgtxrootbeer (11/21/2014) [-]
it would need a few modifications,
1, it needs to be automated, unless you like shoveling the driveway remotely
2, better wheels (maybe caterpillar tracks), it will need the traction
3, bigger scoop, not in terms of width, but height, otherwise you may reach an upper limit in more then 2 inches of snow
4. bigger battery, you need one that can run for at least 1 hr, preferable more.
although if you got that working, it would be a very nice invention for my driveway.
#4 - amuzen (11/21/2014) [-]
Yeah that's what I was thinking, really if you just doubled the size of the entire thing that'd probably about good.

In fact on hindsight it kind of it kind of presents and argument for the other side of things because if you had a bank account that magically refilled I imagine this is what they meant rather than credited since if it was an account that credited much only idiots would withdraw every last cent for fear of ruining their credit score and quickly ending up completely bankrupt your account with 86400 dollars every morning, chances are you wouldn't bother investing it wisely or using it efficiently because you've got a bank account that gives you 86400 dollars daily so why the fuck would you be stingy?
