#155 - yeah but now its just a bridge.  [+] (1 new reply) 06/17/2014 on Danm shame if you ask me. +1

And that bridge is the symbol. Not all the locks. Obviously someone put that first lock on there because they thought the spot was beautiful. Not because of all the locks that would one day be placed there.

Then eventually this beautiful concept got taken over by sheep who couldnt think of an original way to express their love to their spouse/significant other/pet/friend/random person they just met. So many locks on that bridge were put their not by people in love but by random idiots.

Yeah but that was pregaming

Then he went around and rather than heeding any advice from Russia he invaded them. In the winter. With an army of only around 10,000.

He got cocky and wanted more and didn't like that Russia was telling him to plan things out a little more.

Now with Pol Pot, that guy literally went nuts with power and became paranoid as his way of running things turned out to be shit, worse than the guy he got rid of before his regime took over.

This guy though.. a lot of it is attention-seeking. Like how japan was in the pacific war. You're a tiny country that KNOWS it can't do it on its own, but wants to maintain independence. You somehow get misguided and think that by forcibly taking resources you can isolate your culture and keep your country for eternity. Assimilation for these countries is much better. Scandanavia's little islands know this. And usually your host country doesn't treat you like shit, when America took Japan it made changes to how things were, sure, but they were changes for the better, like mandatory schooling and such. In return, Japan was turned into a prosperous country and when we left it, we didn't leave because they wanted us to go but because they didn't need us anymore.

Kim thinks he can bully the west into paying attention to him while grabbing up all the resources he can. He's too little to be a huge threat, his people aren't nearly as strong as Japan in staying the course of a war that would destroy them, but he's got that small-country complex just the same.

It takes only a little bit of paranoia, a decision that China is not an ally, for him to make the worst mistake of his regime. But that may take time. It might not even happen until 40 years from now, as his age makes his mental health go even further down the tubes.

I am trying to say that taking into account inflation and exchange rate, 1.5 million pounds 100 years ago would still not be worth 200 million dollars today, however yeah you might still not be able to reconstruct the titanic for 200 million dollars today because today we have things like employee health insurance, minimum wage, construction regulation laws, and a shortage of fuel resources. basically Im saying that the content is still right in saying that they spent more on the movie than they did on the boat even taking into account time. if it had said it would be cheaper to build a modern titanic than yeah THAT would be iffy but that's not what it's saying.

I don't know what LoL community you are in, because it definitely isn't the same one everyone else is in. The community is the main complaint.
#59 - amuzen (06/09/2014) [-]
It's not great but really the internet is just a super shitty place to look for community in general, leagues not great, but it's not as bad as everyone's making it out to be, If had to make a guess I'd say 1-10 people are overtly upset, 2/10 are just looking to have a good time, 4/10 are mute, 1/10 are friendly, 1/10 are sticking to their friends 1/20 are trolls, and 1/20 are just straight up nice people

compared to the community of the two minecraft servers I've been on where it's been more like 5/10 thirteen year olds/trolls, 1/10 helpful people, 2/10 liars that think they're clever, 1/10 cheaters that think they're hackers, and 1/10 people that just want to build shit.

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. I mean good god, don't use "for some reason" in a definition.

"Nerd" is interchangeable with "Geek", it is used to describe some one who is passionate about something. Not this "social retardation" bullshit you're spewing from your mind in a half-assed attempt to make yourself look smart. I do agree with your definition of "Neckbeard", but being a nerd has nothing to do with social ineptness.
#115 - amuzen (06/09/2014) [-]
Believing you're smarter than others because you're socially inept is what makes people into the kind of neckbeards everyone hates.

Being a nerd is simply being socially inept. 'for some reason or other' is something I added at the end to point out that there is a variety of reasons that you could be socially inept that would qualify you as a nerd, and yeah one or two of those might even result in a sort of intellectual boost over your more extroverted peers in certain fields however being a nerd in and of itself does not make you intellectually superior to anyone. It is for all intents and purposes a negative trait to the same caliber as that of being a 'bro' is a negative trait.
