That being said I didn't really like this episode all that much (or the family guy version of it for that matter) because it felt like it dedicated the majority of the episode to saying HEY LOOK IT'S A CROSS OVER EPISODE! while only reserving a pittance for the episodes plot.
Most of the gags were essentially just that as well, the entire thing just felt like fan service.

Right, but the stuff is also hard to take more than once a week.
Weed, you can sit there pulling cones because you're bored, LSD you have to double the dose every time you re-take in a week, so it gets expensive and tedious.
#68 - amuzen (11/12/2014) [-]
I'll be honest I feel the exact same way about weed, I smoke a bud every two weeks gets me high for about 3 hours, if I smoke again the next day it just makes me tired and a bit dizzy unless I some like 3 buds.

You really build up tolerance to it that quickly? I've heard that if you take a lot of it, then some of the chemicals can get trapped/stored in tiny pockets, which will later get absorbed and give you a random mini-high at any given moment. Is there any truth to this?

I was making a play on the fact that 'addiction' comes in two flavors, one is physical addiction with withdrawals and shit and the other is compulsive addiction, generally speaking the kind of 'addiction' that causes people to keep doing something to the point where it fucks their life over is the compulsive addiction, the physical addiction just makes it harder to bounce back after said fuckery.

If you CAN'T get addicted to LSD, that would literally mean it has no compulsory effect for you to do it again, meaning that it wouldn't be any fun.

I.E. if you can't get addicted to something, it can't be any fun.

It's not the short shorts, it's the short shorts + polo shirt + boating shoes + cap ( + Oakleys for extra douche points). It's not the individual components, but the whole outfit, since there is something that can be inferred from the outfit. I think any of these articles of clothing are fine on their own.

also hes by himself, maybe he has no friends and he just wants to feel good for once, and he figures that drugs can make him feel that way, i mean jesus christ i really feel bad now, i mean imagine that on your birthday. Literally NO ONE came and you felt as though that to make yourself feel better, you might as well take drugs

like that could have been me just a few weeks ago, I live 4 blocks from my school so I usually ride my bike to and fro without a helmet or light on it, sometimes I would end up working really late, on my very last day of school i was working on my final assignment until 1 in the morning, a week earlier I had bought half a gram of pot from a class mate, I rode my bike a little ways out into the woods to smoke it as a bit of a celebratory thing for finishing a rather hellish school year, I can just imagine how awful that would've felt if I got pulled over and they found that little bit of recreational drug on me and just decided to shit all over my life for it.

Something close to this was done.
Some guy was passed out drunk in his car one night.
His friends set up a "hospital room" they took him to, put hospital clothes on him, medical equipment, the lot.
When he woke up, the "doctor" told him that he was in a car accident, and woke up from a 10 year coma. Epic Don't Drink and Drive Prank

I dunno it just kind of seems unlikely that aang died of natural causes to me, way I see it is chances are they're holding the story of Aang's death back for later to use in one of their comic series, like the story of Zuko's mom or how Toph taught a bunch of metal benders etc etc.

That's the bullshit excuse they gave though, he's actually 165 cause of the time spent in the iceberg, it taxed his health so he died early. I call bullshit, they were just lazy.
#12 - anonymous (10/26/2014) [-]
He also died once when Azula shot him in the spine with lightning, and it was only because of Katara's vial of spirit water that he was brought back to life. From that point up until his fight with Ozai, Aang's connection to the Avatar spirit and all his past lives was severed. That's got to fudge your life expectancy just a bit, I'd imagine.

Not all Avatars live to be ancient anyway. The only two people confirmed to have lived extremely long lives were Kyoshi (for some unspecified reason), and Sozin, whos life was re-invigourated by the Comet. I imagine that's probably why Zuko is still alive as well.
User avatar #32 - vortexrain (10/27/2014) [-]
Because of what you said about Sozen, doesn't that mean Zuko, Azula, Iroh, and all other firebenders' lives would have been extended?
#38 - amuzen (10/29/2014) [-]
That would also mean that Aang's life would have been extended because at the time he was also a fire bender.

Well someone murdering him would be an incredibly important plot point.
You would think they'd mention it.
User avatar #16 - wopwop (10/26/2014) [-]
He died early because being frozen for 100 years sapped al his life energy.
#5 - amuzen (10/26/2014) [-]
unless he died of natural causes outside of old age like most people do.

or if the person who killed him wound up becoming irrelevant between then and the plot of legend of Korra began. The Red lotus could have potentially killed him since they were most active right when he died and directly afterwards.

It would make a lot of sense for Zaheer to have been close to Aang since he's about the age of one of Aangs kids and he had intimate knowledge of airbender culture and philosophy that only Aang was known to possess.

Also you might recall that in ATLA they didn't reveal how the previous avatar died until the final season and it should be kept in mind that Aang was the youngest of the group + he died 153 AG (52 years after the events of ATLA) meaning he only would've been 65 and it's a little unlikely someone who's estimated to live to 200+ with the best healer in the world as his wife would have died of old age at 65.
