Guy wanted to kill himself by lighting himself on fire. Cops were trying to stop him. It's funny watching him jumping back in and then realizing how fucking stupid the idea is.

Pretty sure the fire was started by one of the officers tazing him. What kind of flammable fumes were inside his car is anyones guess. Maybe he was huffing gasoline and had a container of it inside of his car.

Oooh. I think I get it. I mean, if you really wanted to you could overlay the same color scheme with an older map. But Sudan split in 2010ish and the Koreas split in the 40s. You would have to show ten or fifteen different maps to accommodate for the creation and loss of different countries. Using a current map is much simpler for the purposes of quickly showing how much of the world was at one time colonized by the Europeans.

That region was most certainly colonized by Europe. The region that is now north and South Korea was not. The Europeans claimed and colonized all of Africa at one point or another.
