It would start off with you just doing something like getting people to sign a petition for... something, and then you'd get caught in a violent situation where you had to shoot your way out, like environmentalist protestors would shoot up the place, or an attempted assassination of Gary Coleman, etc.

"I know what you're thinking, but the funny thing is, I don't even LIKE video games!"

Not really. The producers acknowledge the brony fandom, and give nice little nods to them a lot, but remembers its target audience too. The episodes are mainly written for the kids.

Don't listen to people who try to convince you it's adult or for guys.
It's a show about cute characters with interesting personalities doing things that isn't girly to the point of wanting to bleach your eyes out.

It's a decent show, you'd have to watch a few episodes some episodes (including the first) are bad because it has multible writers, but most are good before deciding if it's good or not.

Honestly, when you avoid all the autism and cancer, the fandom can be the best thing about the show.
User avatar #167 - victorydanceofc (02/18/2015) [-]
There are several references that kids might not catch, like a few alcohol jokes ("the punch was... spiked!") ("Appletini") and one shot has a very obvious Big Lebowski reference. So far there have been no subtle innuendos except for one, mainly because the producers know that bronies would catch it.

This was also something I were wondering about - If the show changed jokes/style to cater more to the brony-fandom instead of the children

joke wise i'm not too sure but they tend to reference things that the adults would know about from time to time.

The episode "Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" Is pretty much about one main character fighting with the antagonist about who can sell beer in Ponyville and they figure it out with a beer-making contest and there's a running gag where another main character just can't get a beer. Replace the word beer with cider and you have what they actually showed on TV. Decide for yourself whether the show has adult jokes or not.

There's a pony that goes around wearing headphones all the time and drives a wubmobile.
There's also a pony with a cannon that shoots parties.

Granted, you don't have to be an adult to enjoy that but I mean....

By and large the generally understood goal of GamerGate is to uncover corruption in gaming media and demand fairness in reviews and such.

However it's proving difficult to make progress since GamerGate has no leader, no rules, no defined goal, and worst of all, no entry requirements for members. So if you want to be a GamerGate supporter, all you need to do is say 'I am a GamerGate supporter'. It's why so many assholes are using the movement to be assholes and why it's really difficult to deny that they represent GamerGate, since, y'know, they said they support GamerGate, and that is literally the only requirement necessary to be a bona fide GamerGate supporter.

Yeah, a loose group arent really that great at progress.

Too bad about the assholes too - But thats probably unavoidable with any kind of movement like this

Maybe because we're a fucking website and not a single person?

FJ consists of many people with different ideals. Of course you're not going to see the same opinion every day, because we don't all share the same opinion.
#22 - Keavy (02/05/2015) [-]
FJ's always been in favour of GamerGate, it just varies from day to day what that entails. Some days there's a genuine example of corruption or censorship that everyone is getting angry about but just as often the latest content everyone thumbs up is just a screen-cap of people calling each other names on Twitter.

This piece kind of falls in between since if Gameranx really were not abiding by AdSense rules then they deserved to get reported, but whoever wrote this post is clearly a self-aggrandizing asshole who only did anything because they had a personal grudge against someone linked to Gameranx.
#23 - alexlife (02/05/2015) [-]
Thanks for the reply

But tbh, Im not even sure what the goal of GamerGate is right now. Is the only goal to "Fight corruption in games journalism" or what? :I

We love the concept but hate how much it has been thrown in our faces. It is still nice to see a clear victory instead of just arguing. It is a nice change of pace and is good enough that we can like it without collectively going UGGGGGGHHHHH.
