And I again forgot to include something.

Do you have any idea if there is any plan to continue the Baka and Test anime?

For the record, by read either, I meant both Light Novels.

I love reading, so I wouldn't mind to read either.

Should I finish the series before beginning? Does it matter? It's kinda difficult to figure out if you should start from the beginning or if there is a spot to pick up from.

I watched the series first and then read the novels. It's easier to keep up with the names that way. Here are both the links to the light novels. Sorry I can't write more, I'm on class.

Just finished binge watching Baka and Test and now I really want a 3rd season.

Gonna start watching Familiar of Zero next, since that one caught my interest.

Thanks a bunch.

No problem! Zero no Tsukaima has light novels that are translated just like Baka and Test if you just can't wait for more. Baka and Test is actually still ongoing with the novels. Zero no Tsukaima is not currently ongoing because the author died battling cancer. They ended the series very well though. That being said, another season may be in the works since it was so popular.

The Baka and Test novel is not as good as the anime simply because the delivery of the jokes. You will still find yourself giggling like a little school girl to the novel, but you'll get a better kick out of the anime. That being said... if you are watching Baka and Test for plot and romance, then the novels are made for you. Minami is currently winning in the romance field and the plot is only getting thicker.

Zero no Tsukaima novels are litterally my favorite. Not only does the author use magic in a non overpowered way, but he also studied war and used that in his novels. The tsundere act from Louise gets a little tiring, but I feel it isn't just an act. It's a difference of culture. Louise is an aristocrat, someone who has been spoiled their whole life. It kind of fits her character. Saito's just a badass.

You'll find yourself crying and you'll find yourself rooting for characters other than the main characters. It is a well written story. The anime cuts out some major things, but that doesn't stop it from being good. It's just that the light novels are that much better. I would expect nothing less from one of my favorite works. Sooooo.... long story short... If you enjoy the anime, definitely read the light novels. If you're interested I'll send you the links to read them online.

I also understand if you don't want to read the light novels. I didn't at first because I had to read and I'm a lazy bastard sometimes. But once I read them, I never once regretted it.

Thank you!

I read the plot of a few of them and they seem to be pretty much what I'm looking for.

As far as Clannad goes, I haven't really decided whether or not I like it yet.I'm 4 episodes in, and I'm still sort of confused about what the hell is going on (To be fair, I was also lost when I watched Toradora for the first 3 or 4 episodes).

Now I feel like I don't know where to start. This is awesome, thank you so much!

Slice of Life, I think?

I like to really relate to the story, and the main character. Romantic plot/side plot is something that's nice too, but not a deal breaker(though I've noticed that most anime with that kind of plot do have one)
#14 - alexanderjones (08/22/2014) [-]
Okay. I'll shoot for some good ones.

Baka and test (VERY funny, romantic subplot, cool system, and can be slice of life at times)

Chobits (very touching and funny story set in a futuristic time. Has romance. This one is older but it is an all time classic)

DN Angel (Love/actiony story. Kinda cool how it played out. Classic as well. Less slice of life and more fantasy though)

Eden of the east (Newer. Romance heavy of course. Massive actiony plot but tame enough at times. Really good for thinking on)

Eureka seven (This is a romance mindfuck. Not slice of life at all but it's fun!)

Fate/stay night (HEAVY slice of life and HEAVY romance. Watch the anime first and then get involved with the visual novel. The visual novel is 10,000 times better than the anime, but it's long. One of the best visual novels in existence. Anime covers one of the three routes pretty well. This has to be my highest recommendation to you. You know... unless you watch clannad. I didn't like clannad that much but you may. Visual novel was better in that case as well)

Familiar of zero (Personal favorite. Had to put it here. Not really slice of life, but it has romance and magic.)

Higurashi When they cry (I dunno man. This shit freaky. Great watch. Some slice of life. Doesn't last long though. Freaky shit stays though. That shit never leaves.)

Hope you can find something out of this list. I just put together some stuff off the top of my head. Let me know if this was what you were looking for or not. I can easily come up with more. I'm just tired right now. All of these have english dubs though.
