It's awkward, overdone, and the audio is rubbish.

That being said, I'm also a firm believer of doing what you love, so don't let that discourage you.

> ...call me whatever you want for spending money on it. It's gonna be a hit game...

That's what a lot of people said for a lot of games. You can take every incentive and believe its going to be a good game because you want it to be, but in the end, there's no guarantee it's going to be a good game, let alone a game that matches the hype.

I'm not saying that FO4 is going to be terrible, or botched, or you should feel bad. But your only incentive for pre-ordering is solely because "I like the game/company". As soon as that changes, people regret pre-ordering. Especially a pre-order with no confirmed release date, on a digital copy, that at the moment doesn't have anything extra.

Still not going to change the fact. You and I can have different opinions on this subject and that's okay.

Although you should know I pre-ordered through Steam, and you can refund a preorder ANYTIME, you can also refund the game within a certain amount of time of you launching/playing it.

I have no worries I'll sink 1000+ hours into the game just like I did with the others, and I don't know why people are so quick to hate in this day and age.

preordering is where it all starts to go downhill. your telling the devs you dont care if the game is up to standards they are going to get your money anyway.
you keep saying youre showing support by preordering, isnt it support enough just buying it? unless youre reserving a physical copy or feeding the bullshit trend of bonus preorder content, why preorder?
if its biased reviews your worried about, go find people on youtube with less than 1000 subs and watch their reviews of it. nobody that small can be influenced by corruption and their collective criticism can paint a very accurate picture.

"preordering is where it all starts to go downhill. your telling the devs you don't care if the game is up to standards"

That's it. This is the dumbest thing I've read all day. If that's HONESTLY what you TRULY believe the devs are doing, we're done here.

Look, call me a fanboy, or call me whatever you want for spending money on it. It's gonna be a hit game and I just want the company to know I trust them based on my many years purchasing their products.

At least I don't sit around thinking "Look at that guy, he's giving them money, they just aren't going to work and think it's okay the way it is!"

Whatever FO4 is, it's most likely already near completion, everything you see about preorders and advertisements and reviews - for the most part, that's just marketing, not development.

I'm not saying you don't have to wait to preorder or buy it when it comes out, I'm just saying I'm confident in my decision and I know what to expect. I don't believe preordering is saying "The game is fine the way it is" - I believe it's incentive. The marketing departments will show the development team the status and in turn they'll be even more inclined to put their all in this.

This isn't some shitty minecraft-clone indie game we're talking about, it's a company with a good reputation.

I trust them to make the game, in my opinion they've done a fine job with everything in the past. Sure there are things I would've liked slightly different, but I've voiced my concerns and desires to them before in emails and such.

I already know what to expect, I'm excited and I want to show my support by preordering. I also don't really trust reviews because most of them are just either advertising or saying something conflicting - seems now a days no one has anything nice or positive to say about something. Hell, all of /v/ is just a buncha guys complaining about games.

Also, if it's a money concern, I know not everyone is in the same boat but I won't really worry too much about it- I worked hard and have a decent job and can afford a good deal of luxury. For those who can't, I wish them better in life. I also tend to give a lot of my money away to people or companies just because I don't see the point of needing so much.
