Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind didn't really leave me thinking about anything. What was I supposed to think about? Well, that's not true. It made me think of how overrated the film was. A bunch of people talked up the movie before I watched it, claiming it to be the best film in history. It destroyed my viewing experience because I had high expectations. Good performances by all the cast, that's all I can really say about it.

Transcendence, the latest 'thought provoking' film I watched. I really enjoyed it.

The Matrix Trilogy, if you haven't sat back and thought about the concepts, you haven't really watched the movie yet.

The Butterfly Effect, good movie, just not the sequels.

Bicentennial Man, as a child I loved this movie. It wasn't until I was older and watched it again that I truly understood it's social and political significance where potential AI is concerned.

Pi, a black and white that perfects the "thought provoking" genre in my opinion.

well ofc it's not the greatest film of all time. Eternal sunshine is not a movie that makes you think in the kind of way you do after watching a film like matrix. But I can remember that when I saw it got me really concentrated because I was trying to figure out what was actually happening.

Bicentennial Man and Pi are added to the list.

All the others are great movies but I've allready seen them. Transcendence was a fucking fantastic movie

Thank you for the recomendations

Didn't that film win the "worst movie of the year" award?

A movie that seems like just another apocalypse movie but is something more is Snowpiercer. The plot sounds dumb, and the first half is the typical "poor people fight the rich people because the rich are EEEEEVIIIIL" plot, but the second half is a lot more thought provoking and intense.

funnyjunk.com/television is the appropriate board, but since you asked...

The Thirteenth Floor
Donnie Darko
The Matrix
Inception maybe too much thinking involved lol
A Clockwork Orange
Oblivion not elder scrolls =/ but still pretty interdasting
A.I. Artificial Intelligence

That's all I an think of off the top of my head right now.

Repo! The Genetic Opera
