19, 20 in a month. Kinda sucks, I had plans on joining the Air Force but that's kinda bust now. On the bright side I didn't get it in high school or when I was even younger like some people do. It must take a whole lotta strength to put up with it through all that.
Could be worse. My Grandma had been diagnosed (Type 2, i think) a couple of years ago, so late in her life it barely even made a difference, expect in insulin cost. At least now you can work around it, all those fun diet choices. Hope it goes well for you man, really do.
My father and youngest brother both have Type 1; my brother was diagnosed when he was two and my father when he was 26. From what my father (49) has told me it's MUCH easier to grow up with Type 1 rather than have it sprung on you, you have time to learn more and adapt a lifestyle to best suit the disease rather than have to COMPLETELY change how you live day by day. I've grown up around it as well as having to help with it since I was born, and because of it I know more than a lot of people do about Diabetes (I'm not a doctor, just informed).

So i go to both of those links and it so far confirms my theory that this shit is fanfic. (Unless i missed something)
just like 90% of the fan-made overwatch comics, what's your point?
What exactly do you mean by it being fanfic? Is it what happens in the little comic? Mercy saving Reyes? What?
Jesus christ do i have to spell it out for you? I only want canon lore, and the whole media page of overwatches website has nothing on reaper being saved by mercy, nor does his wiki page say anything about it.
Mercy: What happened to you?!
Reaper: You tell me, Doc.
Mercy: This is not what I intended for you, Reyes.
Reaper: You knew exactly, what were you doing.
These quotes are what spawned all the fanfics about Mercy and Reaper. Nothing other than the quotes indicate that Mercy saved Reaper, but the quotes pretty much confirms it. It even matches lore-wise that Mercy saved Reaper.
Oh yeah, there's also this one:
Reaper (on killing Mercy): Don’t forget - you’re the one responsible for this.
See thats what i fucking asked for, everyone kept saying shit that i didnt see, but you finally gave a source to it
