I'm getting this from knowing people who where disowned for denouncing god as well. By grandparents more than anything. So I meant alike in the sense that there is no proper statistic for religions. But that is probably global.
Sorry for constantly folding over on myself.

Meh, dont worry. Most people here are Atheists, and yeah sure, there are religious people, but as far as i can tell, they are not the majority. (and its really uncommon for a family to go against someones creed. This guy is over reacting for some internet attention. Either that or he has a shitty family.

then again it really depends, a lot of actual atheists don't come out because a lot of large religious families truly frown upon it, i myself can't admit it or my family back in Argentina wouldn't talk to me

User avatar #35 - herecomesjohnny (03/12/2013) [-]
not to mention china's pollution is attributed to coal, not fucking oil
#37 - anonymous (03/12/2013) [-]
CO2 = CO2

And oil is way more easier to transport. More easier to dig for. All you need is an Oil rig and piping. Coal takes miles of tunnels and excavating equipment. Unless you do surface mining.
User avatar #38 - herecomesjohnny (03/12/2013) [-]
so? i don't see the link between transporting oil and the fact china's one of the biggest coal users
User avatar #47 - garrettjacobsen (03/13/2013) [-]
The tools required to mine for coal are electric and/or attached to vehicles.
Electricity = usually generated by burning oil
Vehicles run on gas, gas = oil
To ship it, you need vehicles again. Gas. Oil.
And like the anon said, CO2 is still CO2. It doesn't matter whether it came from a liquid or a solid.
#40 - justtocomment (03/12/2013) [-]
The point isn't about what the emissions come from, it's the pollution at all. Stop hopping around the facts with petty semantics.

You will die alone and unmissed having lived an insignificant life having made the world no better and every so slightly inconvenienced. Your legacy will be the sigh of satisfaction that is left in the world when you finally cease your tiny anchoring of it against progress. Life to you is a great squandering of massive potential, and death will be such a slight change that not even you will miss your small moment of consciousness in the scheme of eternity.
