I agree... but the last beta it was still generic. Skyrim, Morrowind, Oblivion, that was something else but it was just WAAAY too generic.

Most MMOs have a hook that keeps people coming back.

WoW has a bunch of odd things that make it different than the others other than just graphics and setting. Ultima Online, let you build houses, you actually lost a lot of shit when you died. EVE was one of the first successful space MMOs. Atlantica Online is a squad rpg combat mmo.

Like star trek online, age of conan, and like 10 different pirate themed mmos (not having a large user base), they just copy the same stuff over and change graphics without the unique hook that makes it what it is.... it loses its appeal rapidly.

The hook for Elder Scrolls Online is that it's more Elder Scrolls. The game and story line itself can now be updated and upgraded in real time on a MEGA SERVER.

As long as keep producing content for the game it will never lose appeal to its target audience. If you don't like the game, or find it boring, or the same thing as other MMOs... Then you are not the target audience.

There is almost no room for ingenuity when it comes to a MMO game these days. Everquest did it all first, then World of Warcraft perfected it. Both by having a strong fanbase from the Warcraft series as well as perfecting the game mechanics.

Methinks you're just a poorfag that's sick of MMOs.

You are aware elder scrolls online takes place like 800 years prior to the current events.... and most events in MMOs based on the series usually is considered non-canon by their non-mmo future games.

I have beta too... and frankly... its nothing fancy. Its nothing different other than being elder scrolls themed of every other sword MMO out there.

Kinda reminded me of age of conan, and the defunct horizons mmo.

Every time I got online during Beta, they had improved the game exponentially, I feel that it could be the WoW killer given enough time.
