What I don't understand is why Americans think their way of saying it is the correct way. First of all it's called English, If you want to talk about jam but call it jelly then go ahead but don't correct me over it.
#24 - teamrocketninja (03/30/2015) [-]
Well, jam and jelly are pretty interchangeable, but in the US, jam is more commonly used to a thicker spread with more fruit chunks/seeds/healthy looking shit in it.
#27 - xxitzchubbsxx (03/30/2015) [-]
Interchangeable? One is a fruit spread. The other is a wobbly molded solid/liquid.

You mean Gelatin? Sometimes called Jello after a popular brand of it?
#30 - xxitzchubbsxx (03/30/2015) [-]
No I mean Jelly. Since that's what it's called. But yeah you're right it's a gelatin dessert. But it isn't called Gelatin it is called Jelly.
User avatar #31 - teamrocketninja (03/30/2015) [-]
Oh okay. Well here in the states, jelly usually refers to what you'd called jam. I have heard jelly used for both before though too. But the pudding like desert stuff we usually call gelatin or Jello. Of course, this all could just be a US regional thing too.

Right, saying nigger is anti-PC
Dude I get that he's funny but he's really been pushing his luck, the suspension was from punching a dude
User avatar #50 - captainprincess (03/14/2015) [-]
Well, no
SAYING nigger is not anti-PC
Refusing to be told you can't say Nigger is anti-PC

Your reasons for saying Nigger in the first place are your own

Jeremy Clarkson chanting racist nursery rhyme Well, he didn't say nigger. He mumbled "eenie, meenie, minie, moe, catch a tiger by the toe, if he squeals let him go, eenie, meenie, minie, mo" and everyone jumped down his throat swearing they head him say nigger instead of tiger.....when that's not even in the original rhyme, so makes no sense he would say it, plus there not being any black people present for him to call a nigger. It was all the haters looking for a reason to get him fired.
User avatar #37 - thefuriousfish (03/14/2015) [-]
No, he did actually say nigger in that rhyme because it was the original rhyme. When he was young those would have been the words to the rhyme.
User avatar #18 - sodaberg (03/14/2015) [-]
the nigger story is pretty dubious
But he still definitely did more than enough stupid shit to get suspended
User avatar #49 - whyohwhy (03/14/2015) [-]
you, like most people overlook the fact that if it is broadcast then the producers and the broadcasters are in on it too. You cannot pin everything on Clarkson he might do stupid things but he sure as shit doesnt edit then broadcast himself doing and saying stupid things.
One person in a million gets offended and Clarkson is used a scapegoat by the BBC instantly.

As fort he whole punching his producer/ heated argument thing, he shouldn't have done that obviously. that doesn't change the fact that the producer failed at his job too, he is a victim in this but he's a victim that failed to do his job properly and people should remember that.
User avatar #22 - theshadowed (03/14/2015) [-]
We don't even know why he punched him
And he hasn't done stupid stuff, people just get stupidly offended

Hi, I'm SuperKamiMotorwaffle, and I'm over here NOT judging a show based on the sexuality of its lead character.
