You mean the 6 inch wooden beams? Yeah, i'm fairly sure...
1. They're about 5 inches long (or badly photoshopped into the cloud)
2. A few 6 inch wooden beams holding up a bridge in the sky probably would not count as structural support... I'm no engineer, but I think that's a safe assumption.

6 inch wooden beam supports into a cloud aren't normal.

But on Minecraft they are.

If you're talking about the width of the beams being six inches then they would probably snap under their own weight so they wouldn't provide structural support. If you're implying that they aren't attached to anything they appear to extend through the clouds, so they're longer than six inches.

He said both of those.

Well, the width does appear to be about 6 inches, and yes, they would snap under their own weight. I wasn't implying they weren't attatched to anything, you can see that they are. Yes I think whoever made the picture intended it to appear as if they were going through the clouds to the ground, however I did point out that if this was the case, it has been rather badly photoshopped.

Something tells me we both are reading into this way too much though.

< Here are some incredibly complicated and unrelated blueprints from another bridge for you to scrutinize with your knowledge of engineering.

To be honest, I think whoever made this picture doesn't care half as much about it as you seem to
