It doesn't outweigh it, it equals it.
It's not greater it's the same.
It's a live just like you are and just like your kids are.
And of course I'd kill another if it meant survival, and especially survival for someone I cared about more than I do myself, but that's the thing, they're equal not inferior.
If it's life has to be forfeit for mine to carry on, I respect it for that, I don't just tell myself that's how things ought to be.

Personally I'd sacrifice myself for an animal the same as I would a human.
I have no bias one way or the other.
Same as I would help a black man or a white man.
Just because I belong to one doesn't mean it prioritizes over the other regardless of what differences they may have.
The only bias I do have is towards those that mean something to me and that's simply because I can't possibly care equally for everyone everywhere always, because I'm not god I'm only human, so just as you'd kill an animal to help your kid, I'd do the same for mine.

And that's the point we're all only human, that's why I don't expect anyone to just go ahead and stop all the shit we do to animals, it's unreasonable to expect so, but at the very least I can ask that we show some respect for the animals that sacrifice everything just so we can have a dinner, or a healthier life.

Actually not a big fan of modern medication at all.
Surgery has some merit, but like medicinal? Like pills and stuff?
Those are double edged blades at best.
And most of the tests done on animals are of very little use to humans, because other than if it will fuck with organic material or not, it really doesn't help much.
Because believe it or not us and mice are not that similar, even monkeys and people, if those 3% of DNA didn't matter, why aren't we flinging poo.
So I'm against most modern medicine because frankly it's just really bad at what it does.
And yes I know of alternatives, I know a guy that's spent the last I'll guess 10 maybe 20 years of his life just figuring out 10 different plants, 4 of those have had hugely amazing medical capabilities, and no adverse effects, it doesn't break three other things to fix one.
And I've lost several family members to our fantastical modern medicine and had others weakened. My mom is a nurse and even as far as surgery goes she says if she ever needs to have a body part transplanted she won't do it because the way she's seen bodies react to foreign organs, it's barely ever seemed like it helped at all. The complications the rejections the problems after it's done. She really doesn't seem to be a big fan of it and this is a person that's been a nurse for most of their life. I won't even begin to get into how we treat people with mental issues, that is just an absolute mess.

And I'm saying you can get every single form of food from veggies and fruit that we need, that includes all vitamins.
And I'm not opposed to meat eating as a whole so if you need meat to live by all means I'm not saying become vegan or you're the devil, I'm opposed to how we treat our meat, even for us it's a bad practice, when an animal walks behind animals and sees them getting slaughtered the chemical reactions that happen in their bodies show, they're filled with all sorts of messed up stuff.

And I find the idea that auschwitz is somehow worse just because we're used to it being that really bad thing or because it happened to us and not them, whatever the reason just because we mark it as a really bad thing, same as say 9/11, doesn't mean it's worse than what is done to animals, if you still see it that way then I think you're missing the point there.

I'm really not talking of surgery and transplants but more about the actual prescription area but that is okay. Yes, a lot of nature can provide remedies and such but to some extent they need testing. That, the point you seem to have missed, is what I'm making. It isn't the factor of whether or not you like it. That is an opinion. I have no problems with those, to each their own. What I was asking was how much have you relied on them? Your mother is a nurse, that's awesome. But think about the lives that were infected, purposefully with diseases in order to see if vaccinations and medications worked and moved onward.
I am sorry to hear you have lost loved ones. That is tragic. And for that, you do have my sympathies and condolences.
Modern medicine has saved my mother, my dad, myself and my beautiful son. The aunt to my son is a nurse as well, his grandmother is trained and in a nursing home. We all have seen the light and dark of this, but continue because there are many ways it can save lives.
And yes, I have looked into other remedies and sources for my deficiencies. The amount I would have to consume to equal meat is incredible. I would have to literally be eating all day. I do not wish to gain 150 pounds from this and upward. This has been backed by many a doctor, and when I tried to go vegetarian, I literally had permanent nerve damage. Awesome. So I am sorry, that is why my reply has taken so long fr me to write.
The point was trying to make, to spell it out bluntly. Is that to call one area of treatment of animals horrible and to turn a blind eye of the other ways we torment other animals, is hypocritical. As I said before, yes, there are many ways humans treat other animals inhumanely. Very inhumanely, that really cannot be disputed. But in my opinion, not fact, I believe that some of this is out weighed by the benefit it gives to us.
I am a mother of two. And yes, if either of my children have the same deficiencies, I would personally bring them what they need. That is what I'm asking you. When does this other animal out-weigh your life and the life of your loved ones?
