as a 96 kid, uni is still technically optional, as are A-levels. But I do still agree with you, if you don't have A-levels and a degree in this society, you are essentially stuck doing jobs that pay less than £10/hr. That is of course you are incredibly lucky and make it in the tiny portion of arts careers that actually have a decent value to them but don't require an actual qualification, just skill. The only one that comes to mind right now is a tattoo artist, though most of the actually good ones have some kind of fine arts degree anyway

You whine and piss and moan about the economy, but won't vote UKIP because they dare to question your ridiculous immigration policy, and you swallow the line that they are racists?! Do you know what a useful idiot is?! The power structure has you voting against your own interest and feeling good about doing so because they've convinced you that threats to the current power structure are "racist" or "sexist" or xenophobic." How convenient?

Just vote for the liberal government and the nanny state will make it aaalllllll better, okay? Just give them all the money and power and they will perfect society, right? Besides, personal responsibility and self reliance never got anyone anywhere, amirite?! Anyway, outcomes might not be equal if people were left to fend for themselves and that's not fffaaaiiirrr!

The left is the cause of all the issues, there is no right wing in the UK other than UKIP as killerjhtwo stated, and so the ideas of left and right wing have been distorted to the point where people genuinely believe the Tories are the right wing.
People are very willing to blame others for issues, but slow in introspection. You aren't being ignored despite everything, the honest truth is far more simple, you're just a minority, and elections are based on majorities.
It's easy on the internet, especially facebook to find yourself in a largely closed echo chamber where you think you're opinions are the majority and everyone feels the same way as you, its the same reason social justice gains so much traction, but they don't represent the majority, not in the real world.
The post talks about how the Murdoch empire controls the way people view the world, even though they are the exact ones who push the racism narrative of UKIP, the fact is people will happily bash the mainstream media but cling to anything they push that supports your own preconceptions.
If you want the country to change for the better you need to breed people who aren't weak, people who understand you need to work your ass of to achieve and people who are willing to put in the hours of hard grind, but instead we glorify the activism of people who would rather complain about lack of opportunities then to look for opportunity. Its analogous to the womens studies majors complaining about lack of women in STEM fields.

UKIP is an attraction for the proclaimed racists, some of them are crazy, but UKIP is actually suprisingly more tolerant than any other parties.
Hence why true racists are there.
If they were anywhere else they'd be hounded into retirement and homelessness.

Just for voting a party makes me racist by extension?
That's the sort of knee jerk reaction in the UK that is extremely damaging.
I feel sorry for you. The type who wants to give up their internet rights purely because some crazy fuckers use it like they would anything else.

As you say it's about being ignored. The left is not a good way to get your voice heard.
The left is "Here I said this, look at me pat my pack. You agree? I'll pat your back, you're good, look at me for appreciating you, I'm so progressive look at me."

Whereas the right is "Fuck what the shit is going on, no don't do that. That's not good in the long run, that's bullshit in an economic sense. Jesus christ if these people are causing crime and rapes at these levels to their population why the fuck are we letting them in?"

It's the lesser of two evils. The evil that has served us since the times of living in caves.
We have to work, but we also have a status. You can't be truly equal, someone always needs to be in charge. None of this false equality where some are more equal than others.

I'd say left wing economic policies make far more sense that right wing economic policies.

What caused the economic crash?

Right wing economic strategies.

What saved Britain from a future similar to Greece?

Left wing economic strategies.

You vote Lib Dems, you get cuts.
You vote Labour, you get cuts
You vote Tories, you get cuts.
You even vote UKIP, you get cuts.
It's all shit, but at least with UKIP you get damage control measures such as "Let's improve our immigration system so we can allow in who can benefit the country, instead of an open door"
or
"We need to leave the EU before we get dragged down by the IMF and countries such as greece and spain."

If you vote UKIP you are literally voting a load of racist nutters into power to represent you - and saying that you agree with the vile words that come out of their face holes. That's my opinion.

Anyway this isn't about voting choice, this is about society. It's about the sense of disenfranchised inconsequence we all feel, the sense that we don't matter.

It's about how we tsk to whatever medium we have available, whatever is left within our grasp and control, and try desperately to get our voices heard.

It's about being ignored despite everything.
