For me, the good parts stand out way more than the bad. This scene, the animates scene of the Joker laughing after his back story is revealed, Jim Gordons face of terror at looking at his daughter being abused, those were all iconic points in the story and they were animates very well. In most cartoons, the mouths simply move up and down when talking. In TKJ, they actually looked like they were speaking when a character was talking. It would be that much more effort on DC's part to copy Brian Bolland's style. I think you are just a bit too picky with your animation.

so while they left out some of the minor stuff, and kept in the major stuff for the ending, and they did include the rain at the end, you're going to complain about small things that wouldn't have translated well into the screen and would've ruined the scene.

Putting in the sirens would've completely ruined the tone and atmosphere the ending built up. Not everything from a comic can be put into a film and if you think it was bad now,cgi can assure it would've been worst with those things in.

Maybe you're picky or maybe I don't care, but I had absolutely no problems with the animation. What parts were bad? Cuz I can't think of a single part where I thought the animation was bad.

It's bad because it's boring.
The colors are muted, and the character designs are uninspired. It's just standard for all of DC's recent animated movies. They're animated just enough to be passable, but it reeks of lazy.

The animation was fine. Sure it was no Akira, but it was still fine watching.

Also like the other comment said, you do realize that's how it ended in the original comic right? They left it open ended on purpose.

It was boring. You need fluidity and actual motion in animation. Everyone looked like puppets. If you're animating the Joker, in what is arguably his defining story, you give it life.

You do know that's how the original comic ends as well right? Have you read Killing joke?
#28 - TehFunnyMan (08/14/2016) [-]
Bullshit. The movie isn't open ended at all. There's no sirens, no rain, no light going out, and the Joker literally stops laughing while Batman keeps going.

Other than the shitty beginning with Barbara and Bruce, I enjoyed it. I felt like once it stuck to the material, it was a good rendition.

A stiff, lifeless adaptation. That animation was fucking atrocious.
And they completely fucked up the ending.
Someone needs to just isolate Mark Hamill's vocals and reanimate it into something actually worthy of his performance.

That scene there is actually a bonus feature on the DVD set of "World War 2 in Color."
His scene in that footage is after seeing this photo the Allies took and mailed to him, after the nukes were dropped.
History is amazing.
