Indepth review from a movie theatre worker:
long, excuse those who dont enjoy reading

-Alright concept, but it doesnt go deep with it. Its just a simple thing, no real substance. One day a year all crime is legal. Okay, thats it?

Characters are shallow and static for the most part. And they are STUPID. "lets tie up the obvious military combatant (dog tags around his neck) so I and my two daughters can fend off 20 guys with this shitty pistol". Thats basically the movie.

While on the subject of defense, that is a major plot hole in the movie. If this family is supposidly of the higher class. Why not invest in better defence and/or weaponry? Seeing as one day a year, you are garunteed to face crime and violence.

I get what the movie was trying to go for, but the execution was honostly the shittiest it could have been. And the overall budget could have been less than $90k seeing as it was mostly nameless actors and the entire movie takes place inside a residential building.

Overall 3/10 would not mention to my children lest its name endure the years.

inb4 charled dickens, you were warned

I found it to be entertaining and worth the money, but not enough to go watch it again. The main thing I didn't like about it was that all of the problems stemmed from one character, I think his name was Charlie, instead of the entire family. That way, the family could've worked through their problems and became closer at the end rather than the entire theater going, "what the actual fuck, Charlie?!" Overall, good movie, like I said, a presentation of a no win moral decision. I'll give it an eh / 10

I would write up everything i didn't like about it, but i don't feel like it. basically i think that the idea was great but the movie just wasn't as good as it could've been.

They mean the same thing. "Le" is for singular, masculine nouns. "La" is for singular, feminine words. "Les" is always for plural words.

Well yeah, that I know. I mean when I HEAR it in sentences (for example, I hear the sentence "L'homme mange une pommes" as "L'homme mange un pomme"

It's hard to explain, I'd be glad to clarify further if you need me to.

It's Germanic in origin, so one can only assume that having a background with Germanic languages would make it easier. It's a very tonal language as well, but if you don't use the right tone people can probably assume what you mean by the context.

A lot of the words are similar to German, you still have two of the umlaut letters, (ä, ö) and then you have the Nordic ring, å. But don't mistake the German Öl and the Swedish Öl. Because, although pronounced similarly, the German one means oil and the Swedish one means ale.

It's a device used in machining to check things like squareness, parallelism, etc. Mostly when setting up things like vices and fixtures, they can also find high or low spots on a part's surface. One of those tools that just does a lot of useful shit.
User avatar #57 - reaperriley (07/04/2013) [-]
Not really.... To understand what it is isn't hard. Basically its something you stick clay into to harden it and cause chemical changes.

For idiots, stick soft clay in and you get hard pottery.

Its basically an oven for that kind of stuff. And I learned that in 5th grade. The point Super is making is that his school doesn't heavily support art.
#86 - lordaurion (07/04/2013) [-]
I'm not saying understanding it is hard, it's just not normal knowledge for someone who has no interest in it.
