I'd imagine, especially since most bands are running amps for their respective instruments, people wanna crank for da metulz and an electronic drumset, even if you've got a good one needs a decent PA in order to cut above that. All in all, if you're looking for a band, you gotta have the real deal, man.

We've been meaning to do some gigs, and we play here and there, but the main thing stopping us currently, apart from some serious final exam shit, is the lack of a proper vocalist. Gotta have those cleans tho.

oh that sounds great. i want to get a really sick electric drum kit. electric, because my i still live with my parents, and because i'm really self-conscious when i'm drumming.

Yessir. I do! And I know that feeling of being self conscious. I still live with my folks too, but thankfully I'm frequently home when they're not, so I can just plug in my amp and really crank it if I want without any complaints.

Well I won't bother with DT or Opeth, since you've already checked them out.

Myrath: Merciless Times/Wide Shut
Eumeria: Rebel Mind
Ne Obliviscaris: Painters of the Tempest Part II
Haken: Darkest Light/Celestial Elixir

Plus a few other bands to check out:

Persefone: Their entire Spiritual Migration album. It's fucking brilliant. Best album of 2013, for sure.
Disperse: Dancing With Endless Love
TesseracT: Nocturne (if you're into djenty stuff as well)
