Not sure if I didn't word well or you misread: People already listen to their bullshit and believe it, we need to convince those people to ignore the bullshit before the people that already do ignore it can continue ignoring it.

The Equal Pay Act of 1963 signed by President John F. Kenedy. Specifically, section 206 (d)(1):
"No employer having employees subject to any provisions of this section shall discriminate, within any establishment in which such employees are employed, between employees on the basis of sex by paying wages to employees in such establishment at a rate less than the rate at which he pays wages to employees of the opposite sex in such establishment for equal work on jobs the performance of which requires equal skill, effort, and responsibility, and which are performed under similar working conditions, except where such payment is made pursuant to (i) a seniority system; (ii) a merit system; (iii) a system which measures earnings by quantity or quality of production; or (iv) a differential based on any other factor other than sex: Provided, That an employer who is paying a wage rate differential in violation of this subsection shall not, in order to comply with the provisions of this subsection, reduce the wage rate of any employee." www.eeoc.gov/laws/statutes/epa.cfm

As for Canada, equal pay has been a part of the Canadian Human Rights Act since it was added in 1986, as an amendment to it.

So the whole 'pay inequality cus of gender' thing has been illegal in North America (except Mexico) for at least 29 years. Perpetuating that myth get's everyone nowhere, and you're an idiot if you believe it.

I would ignore the loud minority if enough other people were smart enough to ignore them and not have their bullshit influence the world, but since that bullshit is affecting things, we have to try to make people realize that they should be ignored

And that's any better how?

Same BS* that's being taught in schools during the 3rd wave is still being taught as a pre-determined conclusion (with no sources or citations to back it up other than anecdotes or opinions) and to call it on it's BS makes you a 'misogynist'.

*these include but are not limited too:
-Patriarchy theory (everything a man does is to oppress women)
-rape culture (1 in 3/4/5/6 women get raped)
-pay discrimination (women make $0.77 for every $1 a man makes)

^This is the problem, not the 'I don't need feminism' girls. And these girls seem to see the problem head-on and are calling it out on the BS it is.

Have you not heard of the different waves of feminism?

1st wave - the suffragettes
2nd wave - 1960s/70s sexual liberation and equal pay
3rd wave - PC era schooling and this current tumblr BS

Modern feminism is the 3rd wave.

But. It's not. It's really just... not. The loud majority says some awful shit, but they're the ones who perpetuate the stereotype and lack the capacity to think freely, so why listen to them and not the intelligent few who actually fight for equality?

Agreed. Lately, it seems like a lot of people on the internet have been taking the actions and words of the loudest, most militant feminists, and pretending that those reflect the actions and words of the majority of feminists (That would be like pretending the Westboro Baptist Church speaks for all christians, or that Al Quada speaks for all Muslims). In reality, the vast majority of feminists are just sane, normal human beings who are fighting for equality, and fighting for a better perception of women in the media.
