It won’t happen.
A majority of the reviews of the game I’ve seen in my consoles store are from retards (in pic is one) who give it 5 star reviews (most definitely seem like bots). And worse of all, when Black Friday hits this game will probably sell out of game stores because of people saying, “Yeah it sucks, but at least this way it isn’t full price.” I wouldn’t be surprised, in fact I’m going to go ahead and predict, that EA is planning a sale on the prices of lootboxes to go along with Black Friday to get players whipping out their wallets.
It just isn’t fair that they release the game before Black Friday, but it was a good business strategy.
Well your prediction was already wrong, retard
I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression EA made out like bandits from Andromeda, what with their not allowing reviews and such when the game first released, so people would just buy the game instead of waiting for the reviews to be published.
thing is though, there's a bunch of filthy casual normies that will not have heard of this shit who will just think 'ooh star wars!' and buy it anyway and maybe chuck a couple of bucks at loot crates, which will still give them a good return
hopefully not though, at least not until they sort this shit
When the internet is flooded from memeing about how bad it is en masse, you know it's over.
>ME:A levels of failure
that would be a dream come true
Hopefully Disney will take another look at their exclusive licensing deal with Electronic Sharts.
I'm stealing that.
Yeah, sales are gonna suck just like ME:A, the game that sold 111$ Million dollars worth of copies on digital sales alone. EA is really suffering eh?
That's only $11m in profits, that is NOT a good return
That's only digital sales. We don't have numbers for physical copies sold as they haven't been released, however the closest statistic to that we do have, is that over $53m of sales were of the special edition, so you can tank it up to $164m before standard edition box copies, when tend to make a pretty huge portion of games released on consoles.
Then on top of that, remember that this was one of the most lauded game releases of the past 5 years, with no-mans sky being the only real contender in that boat. When you're looking at $64m + in profit for the worst received game in a long-standing franchise, you don't have a whole lot to worry about. ME:A was a huge financial success
I hoped EA dumped fuckloads of money in this game.I want it to tank so hard they have to rethink their entire business strategy
>EA sees BF2 did horribly and didn't bring back even half of the money they invested
>EA, incapable of blaming themselves, decides to put the blame on Dice
>Dice is closed down and it's developers are sent to different departments to work on the next call of duty or Forza or whatever
EA is going to eventually realize that they can't just keep closing down dev studios whenever they fuck up a title.
Eventually they're going to run out, and at this point I'm beginning to feel like most studios nowadays are a lot more weary about signing any contract with EA.
Nope, they just keep buying out new ones my dude. Unless people start refusing to be bough out or somehow EA stops being fucking pants up ass retarded, the cycle will continue.
Unfortunate thing is that most studios simply can't say no. Either you sell out and give into EA's demands, or suddenly you find it a lot harder to find other studios to work with, or find any gaming news sites wanting to cover your game.
