I learned in school that USA is one of the best examples of a 2 party system

And the USA is worse off for it. Parties don't cater to the people for their views; they do it for voters. The corporations who can line their pockets and pay their election fees are the ones who matter

This. It is shameful that the OP says "half of congress" when they should know damn well that it is all of congress and most partisan politicians in general

So what are clocks measuring if time doesn't exist?
#150 - norrisblade (10/02/2013) [-]
I see what he means...I think...
What he's saying is that time isn't really a thing, all it is is representing the difference from six am to one pm...If you catch my drift.
Like, instead of saying "It's dark and the sun is beggining to show and it's getting a bit warmer" we say six am, or "It's warm, but the sun is going down and it's getting colder" we say six pm.
So basically I'm saying time isn't a thing, we just made it up to make shit easier.
I think.

No. Time is a thing. The point of a clock is it measures it, therefore it must exist. And it does exist, all the most basic equations involving mass, motion, behaviour of matter uses time; it's mathematically sound. People like this guy get mixed up with the existence of time and perception of time when they hear people talking about time being an illusion. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, it means it doesn't exist universally the way it is perceived in one relative frame.

It says the caller called after the man disappeared in 1997. The caller is from the 90's.

Don't think they had cell-phones in the 70's, either.
