Not quite, and yet more brutal at the same time. Attack on Titan is like a Japanese Strategy RPG, you've got a lot of named units and you get a little bit of their personality before they die. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is more like a regular RPG, with a slightly smaller cast they let you get to know a lot better before killing one in a heartwrenching way.

Prepare to mourn every death, because literally every character is fucking awesome or lovable in some way.

fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is the best

you will fucking love it

watch fullmetal alchemist: Brotherhood first though
User avatar #121 - kousei (01/29/2014) [-]
No, you watch the original one so it won't be spoiled. If you watch Brotherhood first you won't get through the original because you'll constantly compare it to Brotherhood.
User avatar #123 - ugottanked (01/29/2014) [-]
hmm

actually that is a good point, although i watched brotherhood first, i was still able to watch the original
User avatar #124 - kousei (01/29/2014) [-]
Still, I'm sure you would have enjoyed the original much more without the better done Brotherhood. Though, now that I think about it... maybe not knowing the general direction of the show would have enhanced Brotherhood... hmmm...
User avatar #126 - ugottanked (01/29/2014) [-]
oh i love the original more than brotherhood to be honest

i like how they kind of did their own thing with it, instead of following the manga, allowed for more creativity, etc.
User avatar #127 - kousei (01/29/2014) [-]
Ahhh, You do have a fair point. Personally I lean more with the darker feel to Brotherhood. The whole show just felt more serious, the original was a bit fluffier. Good in it's own right but I prefer my shows a bit on the heavier side.
User avatar #128 - ugottanked (01/29/2014) [-]
you felt brotherhood was darker? for me its the other way around, what with the bittersweet ending, more characters dead, rose being raped, edward killing the own image of his mother

jsut how i saw it imo
User avatar #129 - kousei (01/29/2014) [-]
Huh, well as much as a hate to admit it I never actually finished the original (life got in the way and all that) What I did see was lighter than Brotherhood, and more drawn out.
User avatar #130 - ugottanked (01/29/2014) [-]
then you really should finish the original, its great
User avatar #132 - kousei (01/29/2014) [-]
