you sure as hell can. the committed a violent felony, ei rape, murder, etc. stop giving paroles out like they were free candies. stop dropping gun charges for easy convictions. NY has some of the lowest gun crime prosecutions (but the most laws) because DAs plea out the harsh gun crime felonies to guarantee plea deals.
example: bill shoots and kills someone. well bill, you are risking going away for 25 to like + a mandatory 15 years for shooting them...BUT if you take this deal and avoid a trial you can just get the 25 years. with parole out in like 15 or less with "good behavior"

Okay but you still don't do that and expect the company to pay for it. I'm guessing there was a verbal fight about it and the manager got fed up and fired her. The other guy was right, if you want to do something charitable do it out of your own accord or don't do it at all. Or at least ask if its okay before going through with it. People need to think a little before they act.

>Firefighters do brave thing
>Woman decides to help them
>Asks company to help her
>Fired and people talk about it
>xdiabolicx: "CLEARLY SHE'S LYING AND FIGHTING WITH HER MANAGER, AND A WESTERN COMPANY WITH A HISTORY OF SHITTING WORKERS AND COMMUNITIES DECIDED NOT TO DO THAT AND IS ENTIRELY INNOCENT"
This is very straightforward. She payed for their meals, asked if the company would cover it, and they said no. Firefighters went back, advocated on her behalf independently of whether she still expected help, and the company fired her. She didn't make a stink about it, she wasn't harassing her manager, she was canned because firefighters told McD to start being a little charitable.
Can we once, just once, assume that, when there is absolutely no evidence that someone is lying or omitting the truth, that they actually aren't, instead of leaping to the conclusion that anyone who says anything that isn't hardline conservative businesses-are-great, guns-and-glory rhetoric is making it up for personal gain?

no where does the guy even mention about her lying at all. What basically happens is that the firefighters went and complained to the manager about how shitty it was of him not to give the chick compensation for an act that is considered to be of charitable means even though she did it out her own free will without consultation of the manager about compensation. So she brought in customer complaints about something she did of her own about getting money back that she freely spent based on her own good will and then weaseling it back and having the company pay for it out of their own pocket after the decision had been made. She should have asked the manager first and if the answer was no then it would have elimanted the thought of compensation.

Because when you have had the same situation happen to you that went along the same lines you can draw what may have happened behind the scenes. Taking comments only at face value from one source causes a skewed look at the situation. Now am I saying this is what exactly happened? No. All I am getting at is that there was a possibility of what may have been.
#23 - ByeliVolk (12/20/2015) [-]
So discredit the opinion of the person is saying because in similar circumstances with near exact things happening has no ability to comment on the situation using any personal experiences because that might not have been how it happened. What you are getting at is that using any form of reasonable deduction from past experiences is wrong because that is not this exact situation you have been in before.
You do understand how stupid that sounds right? A majority of understanding of something is basically comes from personal experiences.
#25 - ByeliVolk (12/20/2015) [-]
wait wait wait so what you are telling me right or wrong on situation using logic and understanding the stems from past experiences that why she got fired and what may have lead to that firing and why is because I have more insight into what happened. You think I have more insight into the situation than anyone else. Nowhere did I state this is what actually happened but my opinion on what happened. If you are looking for an excuse to feel offended then you are an idiot. What I said from my first comment was what may have happened or not all was opinion or possible. Then you go in and grumpily say "Why is your opinion more important hmph" which it isn't. I used my own personal experiences to formulate an opinion but I forgot having your own opinion is actually illegal and we must all mindlessly have the same unanimous opinion.
The fact I have to defend my own personal opinion is both idiotic and saddening.

"What basically happens..."
Thats your lead in to your original comment. Basically you went "ok let me break this down for you, heres how it went". I then said you really couldnt know that.
And the only on here who is offended is apparently you, given how much of your replies have been dedicated to belittling my intelligence.
