I would but I'm shitty at video games and can't be bothered to do all the managing bullshit required for the witcher games, I don't think it's too much to ask for a lower difficulty setting so more casual players can enjoy it. If you like the challenge then have it on the harder difficulty, just give the character more health and make your attacks do more damage, it would take an afternoon of balancing. Video gamers are supposed to be toys to be enjoyed however the user likes but there's this trend of difficult games that have no option to lower the difficulty and I just don't understand it, why force everyone into the same thing? I'm not saying don't make hard games, just put in varying difficulties, you can even call the lowest difficulty pussy or some shit, disable achievements, do whatever you want to incentivise the higher difficulties just let me play your game without getting frustrated, that's not why I play games and I can't enjoy them if I'm constantly getting nowhere. Ah, it looks like it would be right up my alley if it just wasn't so oppressively hard, damn shame.

I had pirated Witcher 2 to try and see if I could get behind the story.

Never even noticed that's why the prostitutes were ugly.

CD Projekt, you cheeky bastards. I love ya, and I'm gonna be buying Witcher 3.

I bought the game. Haven't seen a pretty prostitute, but I guess it's more of an opinion.

I bought 1
I just got past that boring area with the ghost dogs and I thought "if the whole game is going to be like this, fuck it" and I quit
and because I didn't like 1, I didn't buy 2

so why should i even bother with 3?

Wow, you're an idiot.

Witcher 1 is hardly even considered part of the series. Hardly anyone plays it and you definitely don't need to play it to know the story. That's all summed up in the beginning of witcher 2 (Because they know Witcher 1 is pretty horrible).

Thing I love about the devs: they actually stand up for what gaming really should be. They hate DLCs, especially DLC that is announced at launch, and they also hate preorder bonuses for in game items, or preordering with gamestop or someone and getting separate items. Their collector's edition is an actual edition for collectors, not just loaded up with a bunch of in game items to make you buy it.

They said they're going to cave and make DLC for witcher 3, but that DLC is still going to offer over 30 hours of gameplay, which is 5x more than games twice it's price (*cough*order 1886*cough*)

No, you're an idiot for damning a sequel of a game based on the first one, when you haven't even played the second.
User avatar
#113 - fuzzyballs (05/10/2015) [-]
I'm not damning anything
I'm asking why I should bother

that means I'm open to suggestion

fuck I hate you people always making up shit I didn't even say

You're asking why should you bother with 3, and you haven't even played the second one.

I hear there's a sale on right now for Witcher 2 (Like $3 or something for it) on Steam. As long as you have the computer to play it, you should get it. It's nothing like Witcher 1. Even I couldn't fully play through witcher 1 and I'm in love with the series. Witcher 2 does everything it can to make sure Witcher 1 is completely unneeded. It's not like jumping into Mass Effect 3 without loading a save from 2nd game (For those that know the drastic differences). I believe even the devs have said outright that witcher 1 is completely unneeded and unless you're a diehard of the series, there's no need to play it.

Aww, you're cute when you're butthurt.

I was actually going to offer to buy Witcher 2 on steam for you, just so you could have an incentive to give it a second chance (and it being on sale right now), but fuck it now.

Really? I abandoned Witcher 1 as well thinking I'd need to play it to know the story too.

Not at all. There's even an "Extras" section in the main menu of Witcher 2 that tells you the base information of the game, like what witchers are and where they came from.
Even then, if you want more out of the lore, there are books out there of the witcher stories.

I liked the story and the gameplay, everything was styled nice, i liked the whole concept that it was king arthurs of the round table. I liked some of the missions, i liked the cosmetics of the weapons, it was a beautiful game

I thought I was going to get shamed for not liking the first one but I was afraid to play 2 because I couldn't stand 1.

I have them both on Steam.

producers said themselves that 1 was a bigger success than 2, so your comments is kinda bullshit
User avatar
#61 - manofparody (05/10/2015) [-]
And actually, I just looked it up. There is nowhere where Project Red claims witcher 1 did better than witcher 2. It's hilarious that you even said that, because witcher 1 sold only on PC while Witcher 2 was on consoles AND pc.

You're spewing complete bullshit and lies out of your mouth.
