Heh, I'm wondering if you have actually left highsec and seen how dead it is.

I flew for S2N, BL and now SMA.

I can say without a doubt that the game has gone bottom up and it's on the edge of being downright awful. Yes, the usual skirmishes with PL n' crew might be fun, assuming we don't get bombed and blobbed, although flying terrible doctrines isn't exactly the funnest anyway.

The point is; the days where there were hundreds of gangs around, and you can find a fight by just taking 1 gate are long forgotten. One day it might return to glory days. But I'm sure it's a pipedream.

Maybe, but there is always lowsec, which has something going on constantly, especially in Cal/Gal FW space. I used to be a micro-gang lowsec pilot so if I get a bit bored of the lack of committing to fights, I fly down and take a ship out or fly with old friends.

That's actually what I do.

High-grade crystal Swagsleiph, tanks a brick, kills anything with ease and is nearly blob proof for those lowsec plebians.

I mean, there's still content. But it's just becoming a task to find; where I just believe it shouldn't be.

I dunno, EVE is not a simple queue up and wait for pvp, you've always had to look for it, just a little bit harder nowadays. It's one of the things that makes EVE great over WoW, LoL or any other MMO that you have to actually work for things and use your initiative to succeed, and any losses actually mean something.

I personally think that people are over exaggerating how much 'EVE is dying'. Especially on boards like Reddit - there's still loads of fun to be had, it's just crybabies will be crybabies.

RPGs and MMOs aren't too competitive most of the time. I stick with CS GO right now as no MMO will even touch how competitive that game is.

I would give EVE a try if you think MMOs can't be competitive - it's extremely harsh and unforgiving; when you lose, you lose hard! You will need to learn the ingame tatics early and will learn to be useful in fleets of up to around 2000 players for the biggest battles (the bloodbath of B-R5RB had over 4000 players on the battlefield at it's peak!).

Most fleets in a large Alliance/Coalition will be 50-100 strong, although if you prefer smaller gang work where individual skill take preference over large scale strategies, then there are plenty of fleets flying with 2-20 if you join the right kind of groups.
