I like the movie version. Shazamm is one of my favorite characters.

He was really good in the movie. Sadly Shazam doesn't appear in New 52 that much unless you're reading Future's End. Which is very good IMO.

Love how both he and Flash took out the other eye with a crowbar and some lightning.

yeah. I like shazam because he is just as strong as supes , but is still a kid. He is the definition of a God trying to be human. His sense of morality is con-strewed sometimes. I also think hios relationship with superman is just as good as Batman and dick graysons.

Shazam is a very interesting character and I wish they would do more with him.

I thought in the Injustice series Aquaman was as strong and indestructible as Superman? And it was roughly the same time they made WW weaker? (Injustice was the last comic to do with DC I read, The new 52 just didn't appeal to me).
If anything I feel sorry for Manhunter, dies from one of the most common substances (is fire a substance?) on the planet he chooses to protect.
And well sure Larfleeze can summon his own army isn't he paranoid most of the time? and on top of that isn't the Green lantern corps the only corps not to be influenced by an Emotion? Thus making them superior as long as they will it.

That would make sense. Then again, writers do tend to forget to mention things like this. Hell, Wolverine has gotten drunk a few times, but it doesn't make sense because his healing factor should prevent that. At least, to a degree anyway.

I assume just the one. But it could be that Superman's human metabolism is so damn weak because it's never had to fight off infections and bacteria without the solar power before.

I suppose it also depends on what series you're reading. I agree firestorm and cyborg are pretty balanced, but they have had their op moments. Then you also have the Flash, easily the most OP in the justice league, he can run faster than superman flies, pretty sure he can move at an atomic level of speed or some shit. Then there's Aquaman ( I know these are all justice league but they're just examples) he's basically superman, who can't fly and commands everything in the sea. Wonderwoman, essentially a female superman. Green Arrow, well, he's just badass, I'd love to see a fight between him and Hawkeye. Then there's the green lantern and Martian Manhunter Sure Manhunter has a fatal weakness to fire but he is still incredibly strong and then you have a guy who can do whatever he wants as long as he has a strong resolve. That's just the justice league.
#175 - RageRambo (04/30/2015) [-]
Flash is OP as shit. But also I love reading his stuff because out of the most recent stuff, his is a bit more light hearted.

Aquaman and WW at least in the New 52 version are weaker than Supes. WW got her shit pushed in by Doomsday in like no time. Aquaman is weaker than her.

Green Arrow vs Hawkeye? Would pay good damn money to see that.

Manhunter is pretty balanced. Fire isn't exactly uncommon.

Green Lanterns aren't that OP. You wanna talk OP, go read Larfleeze. But at least he has the benefit of being the funniest goddamn thing in existence.

It might be because Marvel at least TRIES to keep things grounded. They do fail from time to time with quite a few of their characters. Mostly the cosmic ones. Hell, I remember one Ghost Rider story had him take on the Hulk. Doctor Strange even says he's one of the few who could rival him due his "godlike" abilities. Though the catch is that the host keeps the spirit's power level in check. Especially if the Host is in control instead of the spirit. The fight ends with Johnny Blaze losing control, and the spirit takes the wheel. The spirit just leaves because the Ghost Rider avenges the innocent. The Hulk hadn't hurt anyone that was innocent.

I've always gone with their different approaches.

Marvel has humans trying to be gods.

DC has gods trying to be human.

I say both of them are pulling it off decently. Iron Man fuckin' Vaporized a Shi'ar fleet, of which Gladiator was on and possibly killed by.

And Superman Found a new power that completely drains his powers in a powerful explosion and leaves him human for awhile. Then he got drunk.
