First time watching that movie i heard edna yelling "NO CAPES!" every single time they grabbed his cape.
Seriously i mean they grabbed his cape at least a dozen times in every singe fight, you'd think he wold have learned

It's worth a watch. Fight scenes are really well done although there are some obvious plot holes.

Don't get your hopes up. The movie is actually quite terrible if you can't turn your brain off. The characters behave illogically, the art-design is really off, the product placement is astonishingly blatant, and I've never seen a film where Superman is less like Superman than he is here.

If you wanted a mute-coloured, Nolan-esque, angsty Superman reboot where he is portrayed as Jesus (there are several christ-metaphors shoved right in your face) and somehow manages to kill hundreds of thousands of people by demolishing massive buildings and eventually killing the movie's villain (which is like The Batman killing the Joker btw, since Superman and Batman both operate on a 'I don't kill. Ever.' mentality) then this is the movie for you.

... just don't waste your money on it.

In all honesty it's not that much of a spoiler. It's been all over the internet for almost a year now and every critic I know has already taken stabs at it. What is more, it's only really a spoiler if you care about the villain and frankly I've yet to see someone who genuinely thinks Zod was played well. Most seem to think it's a very over-acted performance.

Either way, sorry if you didn't already know. I figured everyone did. And yes, I did know it was you before commenting. How is Trigun treating you?

He just asked if the movie was any good, thats a big indication that he didnt see it. Obviously giving the wall of text, all of your comments is just a bunch of rants, than an actual advice. And you dont decide how Superman is supposed to be for other people, giving his various personality change that expands through several generation, everyone at any age have their own view on how superman is suposed to be, depended on which generation/ media they grew up with. Rant over

no problem m8, all of the previous superman movies werent that good either so i wasnt holding my breath

to be honest the only char i really liked was mr wolfwood, since he was a realist and i really blame vash and his optimistic bullshit thinking that he got killed , i also think that the series is nothing special, if i put it in another way i was expecting something better, newer, something out of the box but was a little dissapointed.
but that is just my opinon

Honestly I think it's just about how you and I have different viewpoints and how we consume media differently. For me the series suits my viewpoints perfectly and I love picking apart the effort that goes into very small parts of the show like the shot composition, music, and so on. Most people seem to only dive into the shallowest part of the creative medium when watching things but for me I'm watching two things at once, the product and the work that goes into the product. E.G: When watching Game of Thrones I am really impressed at little Aria Stark's acting ability. She's older than she's made to look, sure, but she alone is better than most actors in Hollywood.

Point is, I see further into shows than other people and look for different things than other people so I get different things out of media. Does that mean I'm better at consuming it that you? Eh, from one viewpoint perhaps but from my viewpoint I just see it as different ways to enjoy the things people create. Neither is really more valid or invalid than the other because they suit the person's lifestyle. It just means different people get different things out of different media.

But as for Superman? Good god i can't stand the Superman movies. You're right that none of them have been very good and that's simply because it is really hard to bring a character like Superman to life. In fairness Man of Steel has come the closest to replicating how Superman should fight but it completely fucks up the tone that should be commanded by Superman's very presence. Superman is like Vash, someone with a lot of strength and power and morals that he is completely unwilling to bend on, an icon to be looked up to more than a character in and of himself.

Man of Steel fucked that up and in doing so set a really bad example as to how DC's cinematic universe will play out. Hulk had a lot of similar problems, because it is really hard to visually replicate the Hulk, but Marvel managed to do that marvellously so wtf DC?!

I want Darvo to give us the Prova Vandal.
Like, he makes us run a mission against his father (Frohd) and steal the BP in some way.

But yea, Lotus gets stale after a bit, maybe she needs some new lines.

Even if he does I'll probably just use it for mastery rank and let it collect dust in my inventory. Chances are it's not going to be as powerful as my main melee weapons.
