Who said anything about killing? And your other post is nonsense, so if I go to Dunkin Donuts and grab myself a donut, and sit down on the beach and a seagull swipes that shit, I should just sit there and go fuck myself because a seagulls well being is worth more than my donut? Hell the fuck no, if I take a lion's meat you think they are just going to be like "Oh, alright then.", they are going to rip my ass to shreds.

The difference is that by taking a lions meat, you risk its life. Our donuts do not. If a seagull manages to jank it out of MY hand, i let it have it, as it has shown a well developed skill.
Shoking a seagull often involves death, as panic sets in. If not, they will probably also be in great pain.
It is not nonsense, it is an opinion. I believe all life is beautiful, and that removing it should only be done when necessary.

just like a human baby you can handle an animal without killing it and causing it pain, so I'm ignoring the whole aspect of killing in your reply.
So if a human comes along and jacks my donut, I should also sit there and not tackle him and take my donut back because he's shown a well developed skill? That is kind of your point saying that "all life is beautiful." Or do you just mean animals?
#188 - dubscausedthis (3 hours ago) [-]
I now see your point, and now I can fully say that's a stupid ass point. So if it needs it to survive it's ok to steal it? If I wanted to feed birds I would have bought fucking bread, but I didn't, I bought a donut, for myself to eat, because I'm hungry, and because I'm "just hungry" I should let animals run up and take my food because I'm not dying of starvation? 10/10, you're basically saying check your privilege, get real nigga.

And no, you still do not get my point. There is a difference between feeding and allowing theft without turning to killing. If the man grabbed the gull by the chest, it would be fine. Furthermore, the man is just about inviting a gull to grab food (see left hand). I would compare that to putting PB on your dick to make a dog lick it, except in that case it does not end with death.
Nice strawman fallacy as well

I was mostly responding to the statement you made beforehand
"The difference is that by taking a lions meat, you risk its life. Our donuts do not. If a seagull manages to jank it out of MY hand, i let it have it, as it has shown a well developed skill."
And all I said was "nigga", calm your tits. You clearly went off on a more general point by saying all life is beautiful, and saying that if it doesn't risk it's life, it's ok to let what happened happen. That's what I was responding to, but every time I do that, you go back to the original argument about the seagull in OP. Yes, baiting a seagull and grabbing it to look cool is douchey, I agree. If that's all that you were talking about, then yes, I do agree with you, however everything else you stated is pretty much invalid.

(no, I'm not a fucking vegan, stop typing!)

Humans have enough food, seagulls do not necessarily.
One gulls life is worth more than one humans brief discomfort.
And i never assume anything vegan-related here: my focus is the value of life and living things, and how we look down upon living creatures just because they are not cute/useful/majestic.
In my opinion, it is immoral to kill a fly unless it would be better for the species (selection and shit) or to end suffering - unless the fly is needed for food, clothing, materials, etc.
That applies to all living creatures: Unless it is necessary, it is not right to take a life.

So you are condoning the act of feeding seagulls? Last time I checked feeding birds makes them start to expect humans as a food source and just abandon their natural way of going after fish or whatever the hell else they can. They have their own abilities to hunt for food. People being dicks and leaving trash and food at the beach is what destroys this though. The guy in the content is being an asshole, the animal abuse isn't exactly justified, but i'm sure he released it without harming it any further then a brief sore neck.
Also, I personally find you analogy with the fly to be rather silly seeing as, to my knowledge, it doesn't exactly benefit much of anyone as a species. As far as I know they just live, eat, lay eggs, die. As humans, we have evolved to the point where we are able to support and sustain ourselves with things such as agriculture. The only problem with us is that we invade on other habitats, but we are adjusting due to the fact that only now has the human impact on other species been realised to be so critical in such a public manor knowledge wise.
Basically, I see where you are coming from, but I most certainly do not agree with it and had to just reply to this huge extent.
Sorry for how long it is, putting it in a spoiler so people can ignore the text if they're just looking for funny comments.

there is a difference between feeding and unwillingly being stolen from. Furthermore, if the gene pool improves by killing an organism, it is acceptable. And as i said, if the killing is with a good purpose, it is acceptable. Mild annoyance is not a good purpose .
