yeah most of the time. but there are cases where an officer asked for an id unlawfully or searches unlawfully assuming that they can. this is the sort of behavior thats unacceptable. my dad was sheriffs deputy for 20 years and he told me straight up "dont let those fuckers get over on you" because he knew a lot of shitty cops would do shitty things and get away with it. and for sure cops are legally allowed to lie to you but it ruins communtiy trust when you see this sort of behavior from the good guys. racial profiling, illegal searches, aggression, unnecessary use of force, it wears at a community long enough that we all want to say fuck the police .

it gets me that its part of the larger narrative that fox is trying to weave for its far right insane viewers. that police are angelic and lovely and that black kids need a good ass whooping. they arent simply saying that in this one case the police are good and just. they only use these as talking points for a larger picture that people are trying to undermine the police. when in reality the people are pointing out legitimate police brutality which makes the police undermine their own authority. the question of whether or not an officer is giving a lawful command is now a serious issue because people see that officers b.s. their way into situations.

or im just reading into it really. im just bored today on my couch to be honest

I'm not going to defend Fox News. there are times where the police are wrong and everybody knows that. However i feel like officers b.s. their way into situations, because thats their job. If shits not going according to the law, its their business to make sure that it goes the way it should. If they tell you you're arrested, then you need to listen to them, it doesnt matter whos wrong or right, just do what they say and you'll come out alright ./

when he said "shut up" he was talking about people bringing race to the table in situations (i thought)

he was saying "in this situation they used the appropriate amount of force and even showed restraint"

but these comments down here are all "i wanna shake his hand" when really this is a small part of a very large and complex racist system. it still needs to be addressed and not ignored. and we definitely cant hand out cookies because officers didnt kill anybody this time
#27 - Omegaeghas (06/24/2015) [-]
i think you might be jumping the gun and not watching the entire thing, because at the end he does say 'In this situation i want to tell everybody who thinks theres a racial component to shut up.' or something to that effect. The people saying they want to shake his hand are all saying that because of his professional demeaner, how he is approaching all these questions, and his response to how the reporter is trying to turn it on him. And the fact that he is right for the most part.

the idea is that the police have been proven in study after study to be race driven and prejudice.

but specifically the department of justice did a report on the ferguson pd that also undeniably proved its racism.

so for a guy to come on tv and say "shut up already" is him literally asking people to not talk about the facts
#25 - Omegaeghas (06/24/2015) [-]
imma quote him on saying 'in this situation'. he is talking about the incident in question in Ohio, and not in Furgeson. In the situation in Ohio people complain race, maybe there is a race compenent in Furgeson, im not educated enough on the matter to say yes or no, but in the situation in Ohio the officer says that the men in the video had followed orders, done everything they could to arrest the individuals, and race had no part in this act.

Well Nintendo's library is almost entirely exclusives, that can't be said for other two

yea. exclusives that come out once, or twice, for a system's lifetime. so im paying 300 dollars for a garentee of 4-5 good games right when it comes out. It's not worth it imo
