Oh I live in england, the law goes that we have to have at least a half hour break every 7 hours or something like that, and an hour for 9 hours work. But god damn i do not envy you.

Amazon always overpriced on that stuff, so I don't use it.

As for my area, it's a medium college town, so we've got a large amount of people that grew up with that stuff and still own it. We just don't get the insane prices that a large city does. We've basically just got GameStop, Replays, a local store, and pawn shops. Replays has gone down the shutter in the past few years, so your only real option is the local store, which is fine. They price similar to what I would, and they undercut GameStop on newer games. It's pretty great.

As for a $50 NES, I could easily find a completed auction right now for that price shipped. You just can't go for the absolute first listing you see.

That sucks about your area having inflated prices though.

Like I said, if you can't get them for the prices I listed, it sucks to suck. I can get all of those around the price I listed even at retail.

I base my prices on both my own local prices and online auctions that have actually sold. It's dumb as fuck to base it on unsold auctions.

Of course, you can expect higher prices in larger cities since the demand should be higher.

I wouldn't have bothered to comment but I don't want people to be disappointed when they realize that prices aren't that low in the real world.

I also went by sold auctions on ebay, plus amazon pricing, and real world retail. I include shipping cost in estimates. I'm not looking for absolute lowest price because it could be a fluke, or there is something wrong with it that's not obvious, I'm trying to see what a fair price for is, the value you should expect to pay, and the price you should expect to sell it for.

I'm not factoring in Yard Sales, but I do look at craigslist and take that into account.

As far as the whole "Big city vs Small city" I live a big city, but the prices here are better than any other area within 200 miles, because there are multiple stores competing for customers forcing pricing to be more fair. I've been to stores in other states, in small towns, and and big ones. Pricing doesn't get much lower than where I live, unless you're buying from shady pawn shops that don't take ID.

If you live in a Mecca of cheap classic video games that's fine, but I don't want people to think that those are fair prices, because they're not realistic. You can't expect to get an NES for $50 without putting in time and effort hunting it down, browsing eBay late at night, getting sniped last minute, and all the other frustrations that come with classic gaming on a budget.

I'm sure we could spend hours swapping stories of the great deals we got, how little we paid for X when it's worth 3x that and so on, but most people aren't as knowledgeable or dedicated.

BTW you didn't include a power source in your first comment, which is why asked what you were basing your pricing off of. We just use different terminology.

The Stray Demon only has a one hit kill if you get thrown off.
I've been thrown and survived.

Unless you have low vigor that grab won't kill you (well, if he doesn't decides and throw you off the wall).
I fought him with maybe 22-25 vigor and the pyromancy starting equip and got grabbed. It's not a one shot. That is a general rule. Last boss can kill you with an uninterruptable combo if you don't have enough vigor. I mean a lot of bosses can. 25 vigor is enough to prevent any one shot DS3, regardless of your armor (MAYBE except a certain attack from Lothric prince - that one where he slams the ground resulting in a shockwave).

He was talking about DS1, though. I cannot remember a one-shot there by a boss.
