looks like someone hardly played past the tutorial level. if you spent time playing it than you would realize that if your only strategy is pressing x than you would get your ass kicked, perhaps that is why one of your characters always ended up dieing and you got a game over.

however, in 12 you didn't even need to press x to win. just go into a battle and let the gambit system win it for you. you mock 13 for pressing x to win, yet in 12 you didn't even need to go to that much effort.

I played all the way to the third disk on the 360. I didn't necessarily lose that often but it did happen. And I was able to auto attack a LOT and did just fine. Also, I liked XII. You're right about the gambit thing a bit but you could still control every character and if you got to only one person remaining you could run like a bitch (learned that the hard way)

if i remember correctly the third disk on the 360 had the majority of the game on it.
I'm fine with 13. I thought it was a lot of fun, I found less problems in the gameplay and more so in their shitty male characters. Sazh was the only one who wasn't generic, and Hope and Snow much like the majority of post-snes final fantasy's, were just absolutely terrible.
Final Fantasy has been going down the shitter for years though, they have been milking the ever loving shit out of 13. XV looks even worse, like a combination of FF12 and Dissidia. I see no reason to continue buying new final fantasy's, series has so many problems it would be a waste of time to even try to list them all.

I'd prefer it if they went back to the style of VII, VIII and IX. I kind of enjoyed X, but it was ruined by weeaboo friends who wouldn't shut the fuck up about it. And I liked XII. X-2 was dumb as fuck.

I didn't like 7 and 8. Liked 9 though. 6 was my favorite. I thought their sprite based games stories and gameplay were far better than any recent ones they have put out. X-2 is just like 13-3. It was just cashing in on the previous games success. Also, both those games are 90% side quests and 10% main storyline. They also focused on fanservice.

I'd say weaboos end up ruining just about anything related to Japan. Anime, video games, you name it. I would suggest not pandering to their type of crowd, as they can make anything good into shit. Much like the anime board on this website.

VG board is good though.

Nah, final fantasy is goin to maximize the homoeroticism and graphics over gameplay for years to come.

I´ll see - I´m no gamer to be honest, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Advance Wars, LoZ - that´s it, some single games in between, but I never play more than 2-3 hours a week unless I get a new game.
So, considering this, I mostly play FF for the Story, because they often have stories that can easily compare to some of the best books that I´ve read so far. damn, was FFX beautiful - so gaming mechanisms, graphics and all are nothing but an extra to me.

Ya but then it cuts down on being a game if story is the only concern. Far Cry 3, The Last of Us, and Spec Ops: The Line managed to keep great stories (except maybe FC3's second half) without sacrificing gameplay. The cinematics were created by how you played. And I get turned off when a cutscene has to spoon feed me everything instead of showing me part of the story and letting me piece it together.

Then you may like it. I play video games a fair amount (significantly more than 2-3 hours a week) so if game play mechanics and the like aren't an issue, then you'll probably enjoy the story and visually it's the best one so far. And that was with me playing it on the 360.

What the hell? Seriously?

Doesn´t matter, tho, I´ll still play it as soon as I can afford a PS3. FF has yet to dissapoint me.

Seriously, it's a fucking piece of shit. Another thing I hated that they included is there's several chapters where you play as a different person and if, in combat, that person dies, then it's game over. It doesn't matter how healthy the other two are. You also don't control the other two in combat what so ever, you set parameters for them to follow because if there's something that people have been complaining about for 12 Final Fantasies (not counting any spin-offs) it's having control of your entire party.

I think that's obviously the most correct interpretation, but I feel like his statement could be interpreted in other ways, such as (as someone was saying earlier) homos worshiping heteros. It would still be a "reversal," and I think there's just enough vagueness in his statement to allow it.
But, this is a semantics argument, so rather pointless at best. The underlying theme of "Heteros shouldn't pursecute Homos because we wouldn't want them to do it to us" is entirely valid.
