I think the main problem were that you slaughtered this idea by posting a perfect duchebag reply, why not try to just think that this idea may be a good soulution for obese or lazy people who love the internett? if you think this idea is so fuckin stupid, why bother spending your time hating on it and attract anger?

maan, just chill and imagine

Here's an idea for you since you try to "smart" your way out of all of this how about I have heartbeat sensor handles on it which detects your heartbeat when running and allows the internet to run and as soon you take your hands off it stops and before you decide to reply I could also invade your property (if you were to get it) pistol whip the shit out of you until you do it properly and watch you actually run for the internet to work.

Not to jump into arguments, but the idea isn't meant to circumvent something, but create an obstacle that is meant to better yourself. I'm sure if this was actually on the market, people would buy it for the sole purpose of that limitation because it does, in fact, give you the motivation to not just sit there and use the computer, but also work to become healthier while using the computer.

Of course, there are always people who try to circumvent these obstacles, and to that point, I ask, why did you bother to buy it in the first place. At the end of the day, circumventing it would just mean you wasted your money on a machine bought to only avoid what it is trying to help you achieve. This also circles back to "tricking it" to then ask the person "then what was the point?"

Finally, to your first comment as well as the bounce sensor, All technology is limited to the internet that is provided to it. For example, if this treadmill were to exist, it is most likely going to require an Ethernet hook-up as oppose to providing it's own magical internet, leading to the limitation of your providers as well as your internet plan so 10,000 GB per second would be out of the question. As for the "bounce sensor" sensing vibrations, there are actually treadmills that sense when a person is standing on it and can sense when a person walks or runs. This particular device is meant to accurately calculate the calories you burn while on a treadmill. It also detects when you are standing on the sides of the treadmill while it is active because your weight no longer registers on the treadmill. Just some various things I wanted to put out there for you.
User avatar #27 - Marshmallon (11/27/2012) [-]
It's not real, exactly; based off solely what the guy says, you MUST be walking on it, and it is impossible to trick it. Perhaps it uses some kind of technology we have not discovered or created yet. Also this is for the people who want to work out but have no motivation; what other reason would you even buy one? :P

"You can't trick it."

I KNOW ILL HOOK UP MY MOTORCYCLE AND TRICK IT

I'M SO FUCKING SMART

Fucking, lose weight and work out while on a computer, why is this a dumb thing; explain to me NirtyDigger; in your fucking mind, why this is a dumb idea. Motivation fucking works. Fuckin' like this

"Oh man this project needs to be done within the week, whatever man, it doesnt matter that much." Untill someone walks up and is like "If you fucking dont finish this within the hour I will kill your fucking dog." THEN SUDDENLY YOU START FUCKING WORKING ON THE PROJECT
#25 - NirtyDigger (11/27/2012) [-]
Okay, well here's my argument:
First, how can I not trick it? Explain the device which allows me to not be able to trick it, if it senses bounces then I will simply make the wheel imbalanced, and it will vibrate.
It's a concept, you cannot think about these as if they are real. It is not going to be 'untrickable'.

Secondly, sure people work if there is motivation, but people also take the easy way out if there is one. I have a computer connected to a treadmill, and a computer I don't need to run on to use. If I had a computer which required no effort to use why would I use one I have to put effort into? Then it becomes a matter of determination and willpower and not motivation - so why not just run in a park?

So maybe, just maybe you should shut the fuck up.

Pic related - it's you because you're a fucking moron.
