best perk is the one where you can turn them off, and then self destruc them. works with every fucking robot....excluding prime

why bother doing the self destruct option? you don't get xp for it which is fucking stupid
User avatar
#42 - topperharly (04/23/2016) [-]
some robots are fucking op. like that one. so i shut them down and let them go boom.
User avatar
#43 - geofalke (04/23/2016) [-]
the more OP they are, the more xp they give. once they're shut down there's no need to make them go nuclear. the only time i ever actually made a robot self destruct was a gunner mr gutsy that was in the middle of like 13 gunners, and that was for a quick laugh.

I then reloaded my quick save, shut off the gutsy, took them on normally, and then offed the gutsy when the gunners were dead.

Seems like someone doesn't play a stealth sniper. xD

Ever since Skyrim came out, that's been easy mode in all Bethesda RPGs. But it makes sense, really; it's how it would work in real life.

Ah yes, how it would work in real life. stealth sniping a topgrade elite millitary automatron ARMED WITH MINIGUNS AND ROCKETLAUNCHERS FROM 5FT AWAY
User avatar
#72 - Dragonchampion (04/24/2016) [-]
Well, I mean in real life you'd use stealth a lot. My apologies for not being clear enough.

Well yea, if i was facing this thing IRL Id probably hide as well :p

I'd probably toss an IED at its feet, preferably a remote activated one, then sneak away then press the button. Wish there were some remote IEDs in Fallout.
User avatar

Well since we're speaking "realitymode" lets imagine what would happen if you threw an IED at a nuclearpowered giganticass robot probably armed with around 1½mt of explosives

But you can't stealth sniper Sarge...
#50 - anon (04/23/2016) [-]
with a stealthboy and the penetrator perk, you can.

Also, instant kill on Pre-Update Survival with a silenced hunting rifle. I haven't started playing post-update survival yet.

Actually, it's tough, but if you have a few levels, you can pop his head, make him run around a bit, and then hide until he reveals his fusion cores. Then, when he has to recharge, pop a stealth boy and some psychojet, run behind him, and peg the cores. it should be an instant kill.

"Ever since Skyrim, thats been easy mode in all Bethesda RPGs"

So fucking two?
User avatar
#36 - Dragonchampion (04/23/2016) [-]
Well, I didn't want to talk out of my nose since I only played Oblivion years ago and don't quite remember it, and wasn't able to get Morrowwind. So it might be for much longer. But Fallout 3 and New vegas also were pretty easy when playing a ranged sniper.

That's going to be patched in 1.5, I hear - you're not supposed to be able to hack robots when you ADS. You'll actually have to get up close to em.
#28 - sweetsinister (04/23/2016) [-]
But why though. Not everyone who invests in robotics expert will be stealth focused or have enough protection to run straight to them. Besides I always saw it as a wasteland whisperer or Intimidate kind of perk. With those perks you can turn enemies to your side from a distance to. I loved how you could use an enemy robot to attack his mates or even blow them up. also why are turrets not hackable, aren't those robots to

It is way more fun as is. Sure kinda overpowered especially in mechanist dlc but so where the other pacifying perks, and there are other ways of balancing them.
User avatar
#44 - masdercheef (04/23/2016) [-]
Eh, turrets are generally attached to a terminal you can hack, and the Total Hack magazine exists to aid that. No reason to include them with the perk.

It would be nice to keep the long-range hacking, but you have a point about the Automatron DLC. It makes it way too easy

If everyone has more money, no one does. I'm going to bet that sort of raise to minimum wage is going further degrade the value of currency, and people who make more than minimum wage will suffer from this because the government does not require their wages to increase proportional to minimum wage. Either that or all the fast food joints are going to replace most of their employees with machines.
User avatar
#361 - psychetest (04/23/2016) [-]
Yup, that's exactly what will happen. She'll make $15 and the burger flippers will make 0 because they've been replaced. It's not economical to pay people that much for skilless labor, unless the company raises their prices. So either unemployment rises, or inflation does
