In my school district, right before I started high school, many schools were doing STEM electives, and now that I'm in college many of them have started having multiple engineering courses, including introduction to object-oriented coding with Java.

Fuck, that's cool. I had to teach myself C and Java so I could sit for the AP CompSci test. Thankfully, got into UCSD in the hardest major I can imagine (Engineering Physics. Still actually don't know how I was qualified, but I'm so glad), and work for a pretty successful startup teaching middle schoolers programming.

Had a guy in one of my courses last year say he was on the Geek Squad and that nobody knew jack shit about what they were doing. Would charge $200+ to 'fix' computers with the simplest of problems from needing a new power supply to a single unplugged SATA cable. Not to mention that they would take sometimes up to 6 months to fix these problems. It's disgusting, but he said the pay was good because you worked on commission.

And the longer you took, the more you got paid, the more impressed idiots were, the more you got assignments, the more you made. Fuck, man, this is why basic electrical engineering and computer science should be REQUIRED in, at the latest, high school education.

I remember when he died someone sent me some of side work from Avenged Sevenfold. I really dug it, but it was very bittersweet considering.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkKXTnM_knQ a bit rough, but I enjoyed it

I was about to click away after the intro, since I don't really like that type of growly metal. But damn, Jimmy's voice is magical.

which sucks because in the comics, spidey is a senior superhero, and him picking a side and revealing his identity to the world convinces a lot of the superheroes to pick sides, which is the turning point of the story

Extra hilarious since Earth-616 Spidey is 28 in Civil War, and portrayed in MCU by a 19 year old, yet was portrayed in his mid to late teens by a 26 and 28 year old. Complete and utter reversal. Get it together, casters.
