Weight and mass are NOT the same thing; weight is the amount of force in which an object is pulled towards the earth or another celestial body, and mass is the amount of matter in an object.

weight is only the measurement of gravity's pull on an object so applying more pressure might add more weight

A compressed spring has more energy than an uncompressed spring... and since e=mc^2 [energy = mass*(the speed of light in vacuum)^2], TECHNICALLY energy is mass (e=mc^2 is a ratio, if you have x amount of energy it translates to x amount of mass). Ergo a spring with more energy weighs less than one without that same amount of energy.

I think (lolidunno). That is just what I got from my physics class.
