I think it's probably not that big a deal when that's all you've known your whole life because you don't really know any different. You know you aren't seeing things that other people see, but you haven't lost anything.

But when you're an adult and you finally see these new bright vivid colors for the first time, and realize what you've been missing out on your whole life, I can only imagine that it would envoke a whole range of emotions from extreme joy to sadness.

The way i think of it is as one of those fundamental human experiences. You can't really tell somebody what red is, you can't explain it or describe it or reason it, it's just red. If you're isolated from that it takes a tole on your, weather you know it or not both because we don't like (as a species) to be secluded and because there are so few things you can experience in that way.
I mean really, how many things are indescribable by words to such a degree that only the sensation can describe them? Sure i guess you could reference any of our five senses but you'll have a shit ton more luck describing a smell by other adjacent smells and a sound by other similar sounds than a color.

colourblindness is linked to depression because the world seems far more stale than it is.

a whole lifetime of seeing nothing but for example blue-ish and grey colours, and suddenly you can see red and green and all the warm colours in the world.

What do you mean not legally? When we leave the EU, we will have full control of whoever comes in. If anyone tries to illegally jump the border, it will be easier to deport them, because they can't claim they have surfed in through EU free passage.

I voted remain and I'm against locking our borders off to EU citizens, but this is now what will happen. Yes it has its benefits, but it also has its downsides, and we just need to accept it.
