I don't think getting turned into minced meat in 7 nanoseconds is all that painful. Not sure that'd be enough time for their brains to even process what happened.

I was gonna say catastrophic kill, but I guess yours is more technical, good on you.

Was always a fan of mobility kills when possible, but hey, sometimes you just need the whole chicken dinner.

instantly killed would be the assumption due to the force of the explosion alone being enough to kill the crew. they probably wouldnt feel a thing. But their bodies probably cant be open casket.

I'd imagine their bodies would be little more than a red mist.

I think what Civ 5 is referring to is that while the country was officially under Italian control, they never got around to solidify their control, even though Haile Selassie went into exile, Guerilla warfare and resistance continued throughout the occupation until the Brits freed the country, although the Italians tried their darndest with among other things, those tried and true methods of massacring the people. (To be fair the Ethiopians had a habit of castrating POW's so you can see why the Italians might've been a bit miffed).
Basically, De Jure it was Italian, but De Facto it was resisting quite well (all things considered).
It's a bit like how countries like Denmark in WWII was De Jure independent for the first couple of years, but De Facto completely controlled by the Reich.

Damn it games lied to me. Which is rather odd considering that I've learned a fair bit from video games that's actually true.

Al-Nusra is among the supported "moderate rebels"
They are basically the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda

Additionally the majority of the other "rebels" (Islamic Front, ADF, Al-sham, Turkmens...) aren't any better than ISIS. Same level of fanaticism, hating the kurds,... They only differ in some details and fight each other because they want to get in charge when the government of Assad is gone. So same shit, different colour.
#172 - cockineveryorifice (12/16/2015) [-]
Kurds are fighting against ISIS, but they are not rebels per say as they are pretty neutral towards Assad, maybe even leaning in favour of him in recent times.

Rebels against Assad are not all moderate, half of them are extremists.

It's like playing the telephone game, starting with the right-wing propaganda machine attacking Obama.

Goes like this: the US backed some Syrian rebels with weapons. Some other Syrian rebels are allied with al-Qaeda. Some of the rebels we backed lost their weapons to the other rebels, or otherwise formed operational alliances with other rebels to fight against Assad. Right wing TV/internet talkers in the US say HURR DURR Obama's helping al-Qaeda!!! Some soldiers get their news from right wing propaganda outlets, so it becomes "HURR DURR I DON'T WANT TO SUPPORT AL-QAEDA THANKS OBUMMMER!!!"

It's just a lot of simple-minded people oversimplifying a complex and frankly seriously fucked up situation.

the rebels are backed by al qaeda since we are giving the rebels weapons and helping them we are also helping al qaeda cause obama is a moron
