Maybe you just don't live in the right kind of area. The town I live in haSan like 80% of its citizens on some form of government assistance. And I personally know several people who are completely capable of working but don't work and live completely off of welfare.
#32 - anon (08/06/2016) [-]
Most people in my area claim welfare and most of it is fraud.
All you have to do is go to a doctor, cry about how sad you feel and tada, you got welfare. Claim you're a single parent and there's some more welfare because no one actually checks. If you're old, you can claim that things hurt and there's welfare. If you're fat you can say your legs hurt and you get welfare.

People that actually need welfare don't get it because of these people. One girl I know recieves no support for her brittle-bone disease because she can stand up, that means she is fit for work.
A family friend is considered fit for work even though he has no hands. But according to his report, he is able to touch his index finger to his thumb and therefore he is fit for work.

People who don't need welfare get it because they make things up and exaggerate. It's amazingly easy to do and since the governemnt doesn't check on them once they start claiming, once they start they can claim for as long as they want.
Want to spend all your money on useless shit? Sure, there's always food banks. Some families have food just piled in their yard because ''I'm entitled to it, so I go and get it even if I don't need it.''

Welfare fraud is amazingly common to the point that it seems a waste of time to go to work.
The people on benefits that actually need it is quite rare.

Eh, I'm a student full time and my job limits me to 20 hours a week during the school year, and as long as I prove once a year that I am working at least 20 hours a week, I get food stamps no problem. That is the only requirement when it comes to students, I admittedly don't know about how it is for non-students. My family was poor, but would never go onto wellfare.

My brother in law did the same thing
He was going to school in Illinois and he couldn't work
It is different for students.
My husband is a full time student and he can't really help me with the bills I'm supporting us bother
When I asked him why he didn't get food stamps he said they take it out of his financial aid.

They're the same as "moderate" muslims.

They just silently agree with what they're doing so they don't get shit.
#431 - anon (07/09/2016) [-]
So? Just because you agree with a thing being done doesn't make you a terrorist. You don't mind that innocent black people are being killed by cops. Are you a terrorist?

Yes. Yes they did. They actively encouraged violence and looting during riots and have gone out of their way to hijack events and incite violence, at one point going as far as to beat and mug a former marine for enjoying his burger.

#312 - Visual (07/09/2016) [-]
Yeah they may not have organized it but shit, they encouraged the shit out of something like this.

Thing about BLM is it's a headless movement and anyone can join in. While I personally think BLM is stupid as hell, you can't blame the whole movement due to one person. There isn't exactly a set of rules of conduct for them to follow. Anyone crazy can do something and support it.
#133 - rattikarl (07/08/2016) [-]
Even then as a group you can denounce acts of violence and such and create a separate, peaceful group, which is exactly what MLK did.
#284 - anon (07/09/2016) [-]
Much like "moderate muslims" they won't because its for the good of their cause and what they secretly really want.

#472 - toensix (07/09/2016) [-]
No 'moderate muslims' condemn terrorist acts all the time. But you won't see it on fucking meme-sites.

Not every protest that BLM has hosted has preached violence, but the good majority of them do and the leaders of the movement do.
#432 - anon (07/09/2016) [-]
Of course they do. They're practically being hunted for sport. The rest of them are getting MAD. Talking hasn't helped. Begging, pleading, hasn't helped. All the peaceful marches and protests did nothing, just more fathers being murdered and little children getting shot by cops.

If peace isn't working, angry people turn to violence, because if peace doesn't work, violence is all that's left.

Same for me and my Step-Dad. My biological father doesn't deserve the right to be called "Dad". Me and my Step-dad have been through so much shit together, including the suicide of my mother and the deaths of my grandparents. That's something my biological didn't even attempt to help with.
