Doesn't that sound like proof that the people want elected leaders..?

The Greeks were forced in to crippling austerity by the EU, the Italians don't have a single elected government officials they are all chosen by the EU.

But like I say.. if your house falls down because someone removes a brick, it's a shitty house

Yeah it's a shame really.

Planes got me into engineering, and now that I'm pretty much done with my course I know that trying to stuff too many capabilities into one thing never works.

Like planes before were made to do one thing and then later on someone goes "You know we can make it do this if we strap X to it!"

Then someone goes "Holy shit that's genius!"

But now it's "Let's make it do XYZJBADBFASUBASDJNASF whilst also having an ice cream dispenser on the nose" and it just ends up as a shit show.... It's really disheartening to see that not only are politicians helping to drive society into the ground, they're driving our defense forces into the ground as well, so when society gets so fucked up you have to call the army, then you're boned anyway.

Yeah no shit.

That's why people with sense are angry about it, but old Dave's giving it the "We need the best technology for our armed forces in the future"

Even though they're buying into what is effectively less capable than some of the stuff we had in the 1970s.

It's owned on a regular basis by 30-year-old aircraft (albeit I'm only aware of air-to-air simulated encounters). It's a joke

I'm talking UK, so Fleet Air Arm and RAF.

Delayed hugely.

Gotcha, then yes, international orders won't be filled for quite a while, and given all the problems theyve been having I think even the timeline you mentioned is probably going to get pushed back
