There is no such thing as toning, basically this is how muscle training works, 1-5 is for dense muscle, 8-12 is for bigger muscles and 15+ is for sporting purposes like sprinting or pushups. Also most of your muscle mass comes from the food you eat.

Well,I did my stuff today but right now I do about 90 reps of 85 pounds,and I split them up into around 6 different sets.20 20 15 15 10 10.

Thats what I do for lifting anyways,I started out with the same amount of reps but for like 65 or 60 pounds about 3 or so months ago

checkemtrain, you fucking tard xD you should be lifting 6-12 reps with 3-4 sets! If you wanna gain you HAVE to lift heavy weights with low reps. If you can do more than 12, up the weight. Since you're only lifting 80-90 pounds im assuming you are either a skinny boney 14 year old or a fat 11 year old. Or if youre doing as many reps as you say...you could be a fat 20 year old. Please reply with your body type Fat-skinny. Age Ill tell you what you need to really increase those gains and get the ladies

And yes,ever since I got bombarded by fit board im going to switch my reps and sets,and up my shiz.Just tell me what to do so you guys will stop yelling at me pls

lol wut? 5x5 program is one of the best out there, because not only it works, but also because it's safer and saves more time. Well, you need to add more weight per session or week, so it's not going to be that easy.

More reps & sets doesn't mean better.

Well, maybe. I'm not a fitness guru so can't argue with the detail. But I know for sure that fitness isn't only about lifting, you need to balance with a proper diet, drinking water and sleep.

Speaking from my experience back then from doing a ridiculous amount of lifting and spent more than 3 hours on gym for 2 about months, doing a ridiculous amount of rep & set only make me sore as fuck and got less gainz than 5x5.

Nah, just stick with whatever you want. But I'm pretty sure that if you tell anyone who lifts that you did a total of 90 reps per exercise with 15+ reps/ set, you'd be called a stupid.

I dunno what you mean by 85 pounds. Bench? squat? deadlift? If it's benchpress, I want to say that 85 lbs is not even impressive, but seeing from your rep & set and assuming you did it correctly without any failures, then I'd say it's pretty impressive. Then again I've seen a lot of people who barely able to have their bar down onto their chest but then brag about the amount of benchpress they can do.

I just hopped from 80 to 85 and its been getting pretty difficult,so i usually screw up around the second set of 20 at about 18,but otherwise I do the other sets fine.
And I guess ima need to start checking how far that bench be going and if its near my chest at all,yo.

my lower back hates insanity too for some raisin.
I havnt done one ton of anything because I'm like 99.1% sure I cant take it. Also my gains have been **** lately and I keep fluctuating on my arm and chest mass

If you have a back focused machine you should use it. No matter what, Insanity is a pain in the ass even if you strengthen it.

I was pretty sure I couldn't until one day I realized that by finding my maxs, my body could actually support more than one ton without breaking. My gains in the strength department haven't been great, but ever since I went gluten free a month ago I have lowered myself to 190lbs with a 12.2 body fat percentage. No gluten is miraculous, everyhting is so much more toned.

I have a pullup bar hooked onto my door that I use religiously but I dont get much muscle from doing it. Also I couldnt do a no gluten diet because a huge bowl of cereal is what I've been having for breakfast every day since I 1st grade. That's also probably the reason why I still have a higher weight than I should

Pullups are better for tone than actually mass gain. You could eat bananas and other fruit to go gluten free. I use that and a metabolism boosting protein shake for breakfast now. Trust me, you'll feel better if you go gluten free. You feel lighter, better and you notice losses pretty quickly.

Better to lose fat weight than gain excess. Plus with your body, 180 might be limit until you grow more.

I keep away from it as much as possible, sometimes you can't help but eat some, but I have lowered my gluten intake by about 95% over the last month. So it is pretty much a don't eat it at all thing.

Protein shakes are good, I wouldn't tell you to get one that boosts your metabolism like the one I am taking though.

Aight. I usually stay for around three hours, but you really should only be there for two. I focus on a routine of: Upper body Strength Training, the next day Lower Body Strength, then Upper Body Endurance, then Lower Body endurance, then Push Strength, then Pull Strength, then Push Endurance then Pull Endurance. This pretty much allows me to reap the benefits of hyper recovery and placement focus as much as possible without spending too much time on one specific bicep or pectoral. Though when you first start doing it, you're going to be in a hell of pain, because if you do what I do, you're going to to strength by 8 reps 6 sets and endurance by 15 reps 4 sets.

i've been going for only an hour (if that) and that's because I would get bored and leave. I would also switch between arms, legs and abs then the next day do back, chest and legs. with about 4 or 5 sets of 10 for each
