I want to get into politics, and a style that I worked out was as follows:
Towns/provinces would be allowed to set up their own styles of government, as long as it is reviewed and accepted by a federal moderator who worked for a dedicated agency for that purpose. The town/provincial government would be subjected to annual observations to gauge its effectiveness
Federal government would operate in much the same way it does in the parliamentary system, or perhaps the American congressional system, but with small changes
The first things to be changed in the federal budget in the event of overwhelming deficit would be a slash to salaries of those in the higher seats.
The government would make a portion of its capital in business, perhaps a supermarket or superstore style, in the free market operating under the same regulations as any other business. The government business would be subjected to audit every year by a series of auditors from the business profession (managers, accountants, etc) kind of jury duty.

I like that idea, especially about the government business.
Maybe once the US government inevitably collapses, something like this can be tried.
