It's a normal prank for children, not for adults.

On the other hand, please go to Japan and try it on an adult woman in public. Please. I dare you. Come on, you said it's a normal prank there. So please!
#178 - yofutofu (01/05/2014) [-]
Yes it is a normal prank in japan. Even normal pranks in north america you can't do to other random people, for instance, you can't just wet willy someone in public. That doesn't make wet willying not a normal prank in north america.

well its probably for the better, he probably did something suspicious to begin with so better to eradicate the threat sooner then let him molest kids first

If I recall, he was taking pictures of the neighborhood children trespassing on his property and tearing up his flower boxes, so he could use them as evidence to get them in trouble for it.

England seems obsessed about pedophiles. It's like the mere mention of pedophilia makes a Brit foam at the mouth. I personally think we're too hard on them, or at least need to change some laws. For example, a 19 year old having sex with his 17 year old girlfriend shouldn't carry the same weight as a 40 year old man having sex with a 9 year old. However, no politician wants to appear "soft on pedophiles", so the law will increasingly get more harsh.

Anyone attracted to/having sex with someone who is young yet post-pubescent is not a pedophile, but a hebephile. I think that distinction is important, because no one attracted to a 16 year old is a pedophile, even if they're 60 years old. Biologically speaking, it's natural to have that attraction.
#106 - kmichel (01/04/2014) [-]
hmm...I like that idea

it will only get harsher on male pedophiles who are actually the minority when it comes to actually molestation or rape of children or teenagers.

Maybe. To me it's kind of like a fly buzzing in the room - I don't care enough to get up and try to kill it, but it's still noticeable and annoying enough for me to swat at it whenever it gets close.

Yes, but they don't have to be asses about it. I really hate seeing the same routine over and over again and every damn time this post or that post with the giant purple bubble makes it to the frontpage, the comments get filled with narcissistic asshole acting like they're better than everyone just because they have no friends. Every damn time. No exceptions. I hate it. It's so predictable, yet you can never prevent it no matter what you do.

Sounds like you are being an ass about how you are interprating it. I thought you hated blatant hypocrisy and predictability? You do realize your entire rant was an egotistical elitest view on your part because of your opions of how other people act ie "They will act they are better than everyone else" when you don't know how they react so you are generalizing them the same way you are saying they are generalizing people who go out and are noisy........

"I just enjoy silence in a world that never stops talking" has some pretty self righteous overtones to it imo.
#180 - xxTheJesterxx (01/04/2014) [-]
I don't think its meant to be self righteous whatsoever. It has the same meaning as "I enjoy relaxation in a constantly moving world". It's not saying "I actually enjoy not being an irritating fucker in a world full of tons of annoying dicks".
User avatar
#290 - popkornking (01/05/2014) [-]
No it's more like I enjoy relaxation in a world obsessed with movement, the key is the "never stops talking" when have you heard the phrase "never stops talking" used in a neutral way?
User avatar
#292 - xxTheJesterxx (01/05/2014) [-]
Oh, or you could say something like,"Mandy was a very friendly and energetic person who never stops talking". Just because you never stop doing something does not imply you're obsessed with it. I breath every second, that doesn't make me obsessed with breathing, does it? She's implying the world is always busy/moving, not that the world is moving too much.
User avatar
#294 - popkornking (01/05/2014) [-]
If the world moving isn't a problem then why does she actively resent it doing so? "I want to go home" "Why can't people understand?"
User avatar
#295 - xxTheJesterxx (01/05/2014) [-]
Just because she says people don't understand doesn't mean she resents them. Those are two entirely different things.

Yes, but it's not about the post. It's about how people act because of the post. It may be saying one thing, but most people prefer interpreting it in the way that best suits them.
