then why are ppl freaking out about a protest turning violent. In Denmark if a cop just discharges his gun, he is off the force for 8 months while he is mentally evaluated. 6 cops are on payed administrative leave in baltimore, but seriously not one of them was like why are we severing this guys spine? they all deserve +25 years in prison. an example needs to be made
User avatar #102 - Lambda (04/28/2015) [-]
First of all, the US is not Denmark. There is far too much crime in the US to follow the law enforcement examples of a lot of those countries. The crime problem in this country will not be solved until we can solve the underlying problems with our society and education, which at this point nobody is even willing to address.
But for now, the ones who enforce the law must be held just as accountable for their actions as the citizens. I think that the best way to do this is to keep the world's eye upon them with the use of dashboard cameras and body cameras. A great deal of damning footage of police brutality has captured by concerned citizens already, and video evidence serves to put the people on equal standing with the police.
User avatar #106 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
I do not see how education and crime had anything to do with how you treat ordinary citizens.

Raw Coverage from the Streets of Baltimore
Cop shoots, kills homeless man seconds after arriving
Cops Kill Man As His His Wife Watches [VIDEO]

This has nothing to do with education or criminals--- we are talking about innocent normal citizens that just get murdered with no repercussions
User avatar #186 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
because we live in a cop hating society where people are more than willing to shoot a police officer who is just chilling in his car. we live in a society where our police force is undermanned with no chance of getting help because they usually take the first cuts
User avatar #201 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
Maybe people would hate the police if they weren't murdering, raping and beating ppl into comas without being held accountable
User avatar #206 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
ive sited a source to you that 1 percent of police encounters end with any mention of violence. thats not an epidemic. people hate the police because the bad things that a very small minority do end up on front page news and spread around like its this massive epiemic where people are being gunned down wholesale in the streat
User avatar #209 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
then why are the other 99% of the police force covering for the 1% of bad cops? This whole "blue code" needs to die.
User avatar #213 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
because idiots like you who see the one percent then act like its all of them. think about that. you instantly brand this as a nation wide problem with all cops. now put yourself in a cops shoes. tim over there is a shitbag you all know hes a shitbag and he did something no one likes. your going to make a good leadership decision and punish him in private. he likely ends up fired, hes taken to court for the wrong crime gets off free and then the cops who are still working now have to deal with his mistake
User avatar #218 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
Not at all. I realize not all cops are dicks or murders. I just want them to have the same training and type of reform as they have in europe
User avatar #222 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
where if a cop shoots a gang banger hes taken off the already short manning list for defending himself against someone who was shooting at him?
User avatar #225 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
Where people arent murdered when they are in police custody
User avatar #439 - sketchE (04/29/2015) [-]
oh the case that is currently being investigated. go look up the definition of murder. if the cop did not have the intention of killing the person it is not murder. thats the key problem with the people trying to start a witch hunt. if you want to fix use of force try them on manslaughter so they actually get indicted and might serve jail time. not straight to murder which nine out of ten times isnt the case
User avatar #124 - Lambda (04/28/2015) [-]
I was saying, that the reason why America has higher crime is due to underlying problems with our society, including shitty education.
Trigger-happy and/or sadistic police officers are a different but related problem.
User avatar #109 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
Man confronts cops after they shoot his dog sorry first video shud have been this one
User avatar #205 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
i feel like i need to go down the line too.
ill give you the homeless guy i do however want the full details of the stories
the young turks is one of the most biased "news sources" and the show the end of the video.
the third video is slightly biased because we have no idea what the cops were saying, the person came out and said a bunch of legal things which i beleive the cops explained to him since he stopped asking about it but since the cops explination is almost impossible to hear a veiwer might be biased against that
User avatar #207 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
they broke into private property and shot the dog. If they wanted to search the property they could have contacted the owner. Instead of shooting the dog and then contacting the owner.
User avatar #210 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
so why did he accept whatever reason the cops gave? because while he was upset about his animal hes not a dumbass. whatever reason the cop gave him was likely good enough to enter the property and if the man who lost his dog is ok with it then why cant you sitting thousands of miles away at his computor
User avatar #215 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
Dude, he is not okay with it... Dog Shot By Cop - Update
User avatar #221 - sketchE (04/28/2015) [-]
dude where are you getting these videos with shit audio.
i meant he accepted there reason for coming on to his property
User avatar #224 - grapesforall (04/28/2015) [-]
Them going into private property and kill a dog is a problem... not the private property part.... its just once you are on private property you need to respect it as such
WATCH :Cop calls dog over to him then shoots it

There are cops with straight up mental ill, and have no place in the force.
User avatar #438 - sketchE (04/29/2015) [-]
yes there are but the majority of cops are not. its not an epidemic its not the norm and the actual problems are not tolerated. are we going to ignore when things are actually dealt with and act like those dont happen?

In my college you are not allowed to lie down/sit down in a corner at the library.
Also there is a strict limit to how many students can attend a course based on the space of the room the lecture is using.

If your school really did remove all the extinguishers from your dorm and the fire really did happen, the fire marshal is gonna stick it in dry on the school board, that is some weak-ass bullshit.

They might be a stoner or might just know their units of measurement.

Wait. Grams in an ounce? Aren't ounces Imperial and grams Metric?
User avatar #200 - namnori (04/19/2015) [-]
Yeah but they both still measure weight so it's basically like saying how many cm there are in an inch. Grams is more precise but some dealers will sell it by the ounce, so it would help to know how much you're getting so you can make sure you're not over paying
User avatar #204 - meganinja (04/19/2015) [-]
Will they sell it by ounces in Metric countries? Do you know?
User avatar #205 - namnori (04/19/2015) [-]
In larger quantities it makes sense to. I live in England where the metric system is used religiously. Most of the time it's sold by the value of the bag eg. a 10 bag is worth £10.. Sometimes it is measured by weight. In small amounts it would be measured in grams, but if you're selling 170 grams its easier to say 6 ounces. I'm not a dealer I just know some stuff
User avatar #208 - meganinja (04/19/2015) [-]
How many pounds would a pound get ya? ;)
User avatar #210 - namnori (04/19/2015) [-]
Depends on the quality of the product. The cheapest, nastiest shit out there is £1000 per lb. Good shit can go for £4000 per lb so for a quid? You'd get 0.001lbs of shit quality weed
User avatar #186 - myrtille (04/19/2015) [-]
you can still have an approximate amount of grams in an ounce
User avatar #187 - meganinja (04/19/2015) [-]

I'm not a stoner, though, so I dunno
User avatar #191 - meganinja (04/19/2015) [-]
Troy ounce and Imperial ounce. I'm not a stoner either so I don't know which one is used.
