You don't need more than 7k and time to make a fast civic. Just yank an engine and trans out of a wrecked acura and you're already half way there. Thats the main appeal. Most hondas and acuras are 80% identical mechanically. Its like lego. The only thing you need for a half decent civic build is the day off and a few aftermarket brackets.

No i know i have owned 3 hondas and currently racing a 92 Accord with 335K on it. I have always maintained that 90s to early 00s hondas are the working mans sports cars. and its brilliant how honda made the mounts and parts so interchangeable.

But ill argue that GM is almost as good at it. small block to LS, CTS-V Brembos in Fbodies,10 Bolt and 12 bolt, and easy done but match up almost any auto trans to an LS or SB.

Dont get me wrong i love my hondas but the reason i posted it is you always hear this crap from tools, Vtec kicked in yo, my civic can run 10s with out a turbo, and my buddies integra will smoke any V8. see Gif for reaction

True. Very true. I'd stick with the 4 banger hondas simply cause I'm broke as fuck and refuse to spend more than 60 bucks a week on gas. If I had the cash, I'd probably have an f body Trans Am or 90's impala ss. But those things jumped up to 20 and 30 grand. Probably cause everyones dad is retiring now and retired folk have a lot of cash to dump on sunday car show cruisers.

Very true seems like everything has jump lately even 90s muscle. And i have been looking for something with a bit more power, prefer RWD or AWD (so rules out most of honda), cheaper than 10k, and manual. they arent honda cheap but with 300hp stock it should be enough.

C4s from what i have found are decently inexpensive, reliable, get mid 20s, RWD, not a miata, V8, available 6sp, handles decent, and also the answer on mythbusters

Maybe an early 2000's Stang. But those spiked in price too. Old white people ruin everything.

if someone spent 10 grand to make their civic as fast as a stock camaro, they're doing everything wrong.

i mean if you've got time, fabrication skills and cash to spare for a V8 FR drive conversion it's honestly not a bad idea for a sleeper, an expensive and time consuming one but still

Sigh... Yes the C6 ZR1 has the LS9 which is a Supercharged 6.3L.

If your getting technical and if you add the dash you get the C4 and C3 ZR-1s.

The C4 Corvette ZR-1 has the LT5 which was a DOHC 5.7L.

The C3 ZR-1 had the early LT-1

I would but i have heard that the ZR1s can be trouble and get expensive real quick with the LT5 and the overhead cams. Im mainly looking at the LT1 or LT4. They only made 300 to 330hp but that should plenty since they are decently light

You can get it with an automatic six speed if memory serves me correct. It's been a while since I did the new car module for the new fits but I'm pretty sure the come with a manual, cvt, or 6 speed auto. They are nice cars but the cvt trans is kinda boring and annoying if you are like me and enjoy hearing the engine go through the gears

Well, the oil pump decided to stop being an oil pump, and has choosen the life of static metal parts with no movement whatsoever, so there's an engine swap in progress.
But it never had AC anyway, and i'm never planning on installing one.

#16959 - LSone (06/27/2015) [-]
Yeah, Its based off a Alfa romeo (so there is going to be problems right away) and its shoddy quality.

Here is JD powers Initial Quality Study for the 2015 Dart. Note that it was never above about average.
