I can go all day posting sources that say "crossfit is amazing" and you can post sources all day saying "crossfit is awful". We could go around and around with this completely contradicting each other. You'll say that they place time over technique in terms of priority, and ill claim that they place technique above everything before moving towards higher volume.

I was completely aboard the cross fit hate train until I started reading articles that tried to remain neutral and look at the sport objectively, there are obviously good and bad traits about it unless you are studbeefpile, who'll tell you all day that cross fit is a disgrace to barbell training , and whether or not you find it worth a shot or not is up to you. For me, it's another way to challenge myself, and it's a new experience in the weight room, ultimately I can't throw my definitive two cents in without trying it for a period of time myself. But if guys like Rippetoe and Thibs can find many good points with it, than it can't be objectively 100% awful.

I think you're missing the point. Of course its not 100% awful, but thats because any type of movement, including punching yourself in the face, will burn calories if you do it long enough. Not only does crossfit disagree everything Ive learned through two professional certifications and a 4 year degree, as well as my own personal progress in fitness, Ive also personally tried it and found it to be terrible first hand. Im not following a hate train trend, I have firsthand and secondhand empirical evidence that shows its bad. Also, none of your sources are remotely helping your case. Evidence should prove that the cons are not true, not just list all the pros and cons.

Youre thinking of the early crossfit wods where they'd prioritize time over technique, which resulted in a ton of spinal injuries. Crossfit the past few years has had time to evolve to the point where most boxes prioritize form and technique and then work to condition themselves to maintain that technique over long workloads. Early crossfit was indeed a joke, but these days "training crossfit" is more like training specific components of the WODs in preparation for the Crossfit games and their smaller associations, it's treated more like a sport in overall fitness than a way of training all on its own.

I'd like to believe that, I really would, because its so hugely popular. But the most recent WODs ive seen have been abysmally constructed and last ive heard the certification is still 2 days long. Until those change, Im pretty set on my position.

I just run and I got thigh and calve muscles
I started doing some arm exercises with 10 kg weights and got an upper arm cut and bicep, I never aimed for muscle it just came
