Sure, about %98 of legislatures claim to be Christians and claim to do things based on "Christian Values", however, most of the time, they're just self-serving bastards who say anything to gain influence.

Your analogy is flawed. Water and Vodka have different functions, but the same appearance. Trilbies and Fedoras have the same function as well as the same appearance. If you want to break this down to the etymology of hats, fine, but they're both the same thing regardless of their origins. I just shot your smiling analogy in the face.

I'm sorry, I was mistaken. The title is Burn After Reading. It's a great movie: it's supposed to be comical, but is presented without all the gimmicks that most movies use to convey that a humorous moment is happening in the movie, so it's almost like a drama with comedic undertones. The whole thing's serious and facetious at the same time.

I am OP, and I did all of this in accordance with the incorrect meme and stereotype also for the sake of humor. Personally, I regard the word fedora as more a category of brimmed hats than a specific hat, and a trilby is a type of fedora. The difference is too minute to count and punditry about such a thing is pretty pointless: it's just a hat.
User avatar #26 - Kamesakke (02/08/2014) [-]
"The Holy Grail is just a chalice when handed to the Jews." An old expression. One may wish to be careful as to how one belittles an item. With me, sure, It's just a hat. And I suppose I understand you stereotyping the name. However, the Trilby is not a type of Fedora. The Fedora has its origins within French literature, whilst the trilby has its origins within English literature. It would be comparing water to vodka. Both are colorless, odorless, and have a similar consistency. However, water puts out a flame, Vodka makes it burn brighter. I hope you understand the analogy. Also, ANAL-ogy.

It's called a Pre-War Hat in the game, so I was pretending to be a nitpicky bastard right back for the sake of humor. It's good that you have a hobby in which you make distinctions and are knowledgeable. Do you perhaps aspire to be a milliner?

While I do appreciate what it is called in game, op still placed the word "fedora" in the title incorrectly, and it edged on my nerves. I apologize for any annoyance this may have caused. As for the question, I am not. Though I am fond of the creation techniques and styles there are to making different head-garbs, I am not talented/coordinated enough to handle such a delicate art.

Sir, there are 7 billion people in this world. Each of them have their hobbies, collections, and interests. I love hats. They have been used as status symbols, trophies, etc. The proud and fine Fedora has been a classic timeless. To me, it is an injustice when someone smears the name of the Fedora when it's, in fact, a gene-missing mutant offspring of satan and an unwilling, underage Fedora. I care, sir. Me, and a varying percentage of the varying population care. So thank you for your input, and your opinion. I care enough to reply to your response with as much respect and dignity as I see fit. Please do me the same courtesy. Should you not be able to not find it within yourself to do so, at least have some originality and class within your comebacks to entertain the masses. Respect and love, Kamesakke. PS. Fuck neck beards.
