I did it without any real results. you'd gain better cardio from just running a couple miles. It would also take half the time too. They throw in some push ups and oblique exercises, but from what I remember they just gave a fancier word for cardio.
Oh, and a lot of their muscle workouts, which is useless with that kind of program, were just so needlessly complex. Running or jog/walk/sprinting for two miles a day and substituting pushups, sit ups, dumbbells, or whatever you prefer to do after the run on various days will yield similar results in half the time (25-min compared to 45+20 on ab days.
Honestly, the only benefit I could actually see was stamina, which I never really had a problem with to begin with. And in my experience jog/walk/sprints or swimming built up stamina a lot faster than Insanity ever did.
But Insanity is better than not working out at all.

Kind of. I have to take an additional course(i think 2 years) to teach in Texas(state specific, all states have their own but some may transfer).
I will take that later. I just wanted to buckle down and get my BA in History first.
See, when I was in my Senior year of HS I had been talking to a recruiter and wanted to Enlist>Go to college >maybe commission if I still felt up for it >teach
But my parents got on my case, and an Officer Selection Officer talked me into commissioning(ironically, he had enlisted first) so my plan became Go to school>Commission>teach But with the modification of getting my Teaching Cert. after I left the Corps.
Well here I am. 5 years later. My senior year(bit rougher of a time than I would have liked, but nothing bad academically) with-as far as I am concerned- next to zero chance of commissioning in the Marines. So I decided, fuck it, I am going to Enlist, then once I get out, hopefully join a PMC War is terrible, I do not wish for anymore war to happen, but in all honesty- humans are pretty shitty and war will happen between some people willing to pay for diplomatic security , hopefully make some coin off of that, then go back to school for a brief period to get my teaching cert(it would expire before I left the Marines if I got it now) and go find a job at a high school.
Sorry to ramble, just some shit. I appreciate your interest. What are you at UTB for?

I don't know jack about the armed forces, but that sounds hard as hell, man. How long would you be serving in the Corps before you switch out? It seems like it would be crazy hard to survive to many years over there, don't know how those PMCs stack up odds and $$$ wise.
I'm actually not at UTB. I'm in the middle of Michigan's upper peninsula trying to get an engineering degree. There are more deer than people here, and even less women.

Military: well the wars for the US are winding down so I probably will have significant problems with bordem and anger at poor leadership than with actual life-threatening enemies. But I am thinking around 8 years, 2 4 year contracts. Maybe, we'll see, with no wars there won't be a ton of interest for me, serving my country- cleaning up 1 parking lot at a time(what infantry does when not fighting or training).
>more deer than people here, even less women
Yikes. What are you trying to do with an engineering degree?
