Well if you wouldn't explain them that they act like jerks, you would be a jerk for letting them never learn...
If they don't feel remorse on their own, they will have a hard enough time to make sense of 90% of human media and fun things.
Also I extremely doubt that the typical "I feel no remorse" edgelord doesn't lie.
Also it usually is enough to block a punch and stop seconds before hitting back.
But that requires self-discipline and not falling into a fit of rage (which is my jerkiest quality but that's another story)

Nah man. I know what words mean and "suffer internally" is not that.
I've met a reasonable bunch of assholes in my life. Male and female alike. In fact, the only times I was able to get rid of them for good is by being jerk on my own. But don't get me wrong. It was never about taking out frustration, or getting mad at all.
It's about subtle hints, gentle picking on them, pointing out whatever they do wrong. Small things, often basically jokes. But they stack. Especially for someone as insecure as your average bully. And after you make such bully feel like shit long enough, he learns his lesson.
I don't see reason in this. Funny Junk is all feisty and mighty when they say "feminazi problem can't be ignored, we must fight, not give them free hand!" from the safety of their homes. But when it comes to actual, personal bullying, everyone is supporting the "pretend it doesn't happen" shit.
No, man. That's not how it's done.

Dude, sometimes a fight's just not worth having and in that case you gotta end up dealing with it. If a problem's not going away then you deal with it in as non-jerky a way as possible but most of the time jerks just get away with it because there's nothing worthwhile to be gained from jerking along with them.
FJ is all uppity about SJWs because they are actually doing genuine harm with the shit that they do, but jerks? They're just wastes of space and wastes of time. Unless you've got a capital A Asshole on your case that you can't just walk away from you're better off not causing a scene, because jerks love it when you cause a scene and chances are you're just going to end up wasting your time by the end of it.
If there's a good way to deal with something without acting like a jerk yourself then good, go for that one. If the only other option is to be a jerk then fine, you're out of options so go jerk. But if you've got a way out of the situation that's not going to end up wasting everyone's time and causing trouble or ruining people's day etc, etc then you take it, because you're not the jerk.

Being the bigger man does not equal being a doormat.
Literally just shows how much more mature a person is. They will realize they're being a tool, whether they want to or not.
Be a bigger man, still not a doormat.
Also, you're an idiot. Try and sit on that, instead of replying back with something similar. Learn when you're wrong.

Well, my perception tells me that "suffering" has immense negative meaning. Suffering in itself is wrong.
If you actually suffer, then you don't just do it silently, you change it.
Why is everyonce forcibly telling me that "suffer silently" actually means "be a bigger man"? What is up with this world? Do I have to pull ot a dictionary every time I reply to someone or what?
#84 - questionableferret (02/21/2016) [-]
"Suffer silently" can also mean to just internalise the things that hurt you instead of making a fuss over them. It basically means that regardless of how bad you feel, be it a little bad or absolutely awful, you are not drawing attention to it.
At its worst it is languishing in an awful situation and at its best it is 'being the bigger person'. I reckon the phrase has at least that much scope to it.
And if people pick you up on your spelling on a website frequented by people from all over the world where English isn't their first language then they're jackasses. Unless it is a really obvious and common mistake, or a word being used incorrectly, then it's just being a douche because spelling doesn't really matter as long as the message is conveyed coherently. Some corrections help to improve someone's grasp of the language, but most are just petty.
#86 - questionableferret (02/21/2016) [-]
It's not a lot of interpretation at all. The point of using words is because words have meanings, and the point of using phrases is because they have meanings, but at the end of the day both the words and the phrases only have whatever meaning the reader thinks they do. There's no empirical definition for any word of phrase, just the common acceptance that certain squiggly lines in a certain order mean a certain thing, and that's often open to interpretation.
And plain speaking is all well and good but it lacks a sense of poetry and personality. And, not to be mean or anything but "Avoiding misunderstandings can be very fun, ya know" sounds like a very SJW sentence. "It's fun to use words that can't be misinterpreted as meaning something else."
At the end of the day people are always going to want to talk in certain ways that work for them. Getting hung up on stuff like arguing on some sort of literal definition for "Suffer silently" when the phrase is itself only means whatever the reader thinks it does.

1) That picture is from a different comment to the "Suffer internally" one.
2) It is a funny picture about a dog.
3) The definition of the phrase "Suffer internally" is not dependent upon the funny picture of the dog.
4) The mechanics of language are not made-up bull. A word or a phrase only means as much as the person reading/hearing it thinks it does, this is why words with the same spelling mean different things in different languages, and why words with the same spelling in the same language can mean different things in different contexts, because words and phrases are not scientific values, they're just squiggles on paper that mean one thing to some people and another thing to others and maybe even nothing to anyone other than the one that wrote them.
It's not made-up bull, so stop trying to say that you know the one true definition of the phrase "Suffer internally" and the specific behaviours that it applies to when it is an entirely subjective value.
#89 - ciacheczko (02/21/2016) [-]
It was a reply to "I don't understand this". Someone was literally explaining the aforementioned image. And said it means that suffering internally is good because it magically stops jerks from being jerks.
It's like you don't even read those things and argue for the sake of it.

It's a joke about how JoJo tends to cut off the chapter right when things get interesting.
Not like a cliffhanger. But like imagine someone is running towards you to punch you, and as he's in mid air during his jump, with his arm backwards, the chapter ends.
"To be continued"
